<0> I have found lots of examples on how you fetch the character on a specific location in a string, but how do you do the same with plain numbers? <1> what do you mean "with plain numbers"? <0> a = 73381 for example <0> I tried a[3] but it didnt work <1> convert it to a string first <1> a = str(73381) <0> ah, thanks :) <1> put something in the topic telling them not to ask to ask and they ask why they shouldn't ask to ask <2> today is my first day using Python. I am trying to get a package to build with scons. I would like to use the scons Split() function in custom.py, but it does not appear to be available. Am I heading the wrong direction?
<3> What is scons? <3> Oh. Yet another Improved make. <1> because lord knows that's what the world needs <4> What else does the world need one more of.. a web framework for python? <3> A proper IRC bot? :-) <4> Anything that's already been made a YA* version of a dozen times. <3> Yes, much better with Hitler projects. :> <5> that fellow really is an odd one <3> Aren't we all? <5> not in the way he is <5> he keeps the channel informed of what he is up to, but has never actually spoken <3> OK, I don't pay much attention during those hours, I guess. <5> yea it's weird, take my word for it <5> amusingly so <6> hey <5> hello <6> any of u guys know how to package python code? <6> im trying to bundle a few python modules into one package so that i can run it on other platforms <6> i tried using pyinstaller but there's lot of errors <6> any 1 can help me? <7> Morning people <7> I need some logic, not Python, help: I've written a program to fetch webcam images every X minutes from a website. Since I don't want it to capture images during the night I made the program retrieve dusk and dawn values from the website. The problem is that now, dusk and dawn is both after midnight (dusk is 00:16 and dawn is 06:32 e.g). Any ideas on how to check this with current time so it only returns true when it is within the interval? <7> Right now the currtime < dusktime fails, since currtime could be e.g. 11:14 and dusktime could be 00:16 <8> hi <9> hello <8> hi spotter , not much activity here , huh?? <9> sometimes... <9> but a bit slow today i thinks <8> you a web programmer? <9> no, a student <8> why python? <9> i just like python....great language <9> first off, its very easy and simple <8> know ajax? <9> if you can think about it in your head, half the porblem is solved
