Very dense, I leave it unfinished it produces a beautiful silver finish, and the only important thing is seal the end grain only.

<1> Double galvanized are the best, not electroplated. And there are 3 ratings you wans the highest rating of galvanization, Stainsteel is the best but you know it costs a fortune, I used stainless steel for my deck screws but not my hangers.
