<0> It is expensive ? YOu were saying yes to that ? <1> it aint cheap but fortunately i have great insurance now <0> Well We have insurance but we have to satisfy the criteria for needing the surgery. <1> the surgery takes 1-2 hours and it is out patient <1> yeah i did too <0> I probably dont need it I can get buy with nararol but my wife and daughter really need it bad. <0> Cool <2> some insurance companies are better than others... youngest sister FINALLY got to get her tonsils out last year... <0> Well My HMO is very good.. If you can make a reasonable case you need a procedure you will get it. <2> she'd suffered so much over so many years - her DR finally relented and said yup - gotta go <1> yeah i have had ones that were a pain for that but the doctor had a list of reasons I needed it and I had a ct scan <0> If you are a hypchdriac who gets a runny nose one week out of the year they wont do it. <0> But thats a smart medical decision. <1> i agree <1> the doctor here wont do it without a ct scan <0> I think my wife and daughter could make a strong case for it..
<0> My son and i, MIGHT be able to deal with it strictly with medicine. <1> i had like nine sinus infections in a year <3> what type of pain level did the doc mention after your surgery Baby? <0> Although when they did the allergy tests on me ? I am allergic to 0 Drugs, 0pets, I had myself tested for guinea pigs.. I am allergic to everything outside. <1> it should not be too bad my fiance actually had the same surgery last fall and did great <2> FreeMrkts -- ya my sister was suffering tonsilitis several times a year, take sometimes 2-3 weeks -- bad <1> which is why i finally ****ed it up and went to the doctor <0> One pin prick turned red and the size of a quarter on my test arm <0> They ended up rubbing into my arm adrenaline and after that Benadryl and an over the counter allergy medicine which they think is as good as any prescription one <0> Latidine or something <0> Loratidien ? <0> Loratadine ? <0> Ack <0> I am nor sure of the name but its a non drowsy one, <2> lotramin? <0> Benadryl works great if you are sleeping. <0> Kalianu no. <0> Loratidine, thats it. <1> i cant take prescription nasal sprays i break out in huge itchy rashes <0> I said that but now i am sure <4> Loratadine is the chemical name for Claritin <0> it came to my mind. <2> could take a ton of those Benadryls -- wouldn't phase me <2> ahh <0> Lupine, Correct, I always buy generics when available <1> right now i cant take anything stronger than tylenol until after the surgery and tylenol does squat <4> FM: by and large, that's true. Only some extended release tablets, are there differences <1> so i have warned everyone i know i may be really cranky the next couple of weeks <4> Baby: probably not stronger.. but rather, most others are blood thinners <0> Every doctor in every speciality and including internist has reccomended loratidine, they really like that drug. <4> NSAIDS, aspirin/naproxen sodium/ibruprofen/etc all thin the blood, making it harder to clot <1> yeah they say the nose bleeds really easily too lupine <0> HI MrRod, IM on my way out but good evening to you. <5> FreeMrkts: I just got back.... <1> i ignored it at first because i have had other surgeries and didnt think it was that big of a deal and then the anesthesologist (sp) called <1> so i was like OK :) <0> Babyjazz, Best of look to you on your operation! Ill be sending you good karma. <0> MrRod, where were you ? <4> BJ: are you talking about Rhino Coblation? <1> thanks <6> if you guys start talking about colonoscopies, I'm out of here <0> nharris, hahahahahaha <5> FreeMrkts; Shopping. I got some shirts, shoes, blue jeans, underwear and a toaster. <4> nharris: twobar isn't around, so we're safe from that <1> it is called sinus nsr bilateral turbinate reduction <6> hahahah good <5> FreeMrkts: All on sale, of course. <0> You know this channel too well. But I am not interested in med talk tonight, just interested in this operation Babyjazz is getting, I could see my wife and daughter getting it... <0> Babyjazz, Please let me know how it goes afterwords ok ? <1> i will let you know how it goes freetrade <1> my fiance had great success with it <0> Thanks Jazz! I appreciate it. <1> :) <1> he used to snore and had sleep apnea and now he sleeps and doesnt snore at all <0> MrRod, I got my head into a complete computer backup of C: Which I have needed to do forever. <4> bj: ah yea.. bilateral turbinate reduction.. :-) I had one of the first ones done at Boston M*** <1> wow lupine <1> did they do it with the laser <6> removal of cockcheese is an outpatient thing <4> or as I call it "Nose rooter router! <1> or the old fashioned way
<1> hahha <4> BJ: yea, laser. they've done it via normal scalpal for ages <1> yeah my one nostril makes a huge turn its funny i could pick it out quickly in the ct scan <7> roto rooter. <4> the biggest problem was that I had padding stuck in my sinuses for a week <0> But it was a very long process and in the middle I was trying to mediate a debate which was basically Timur going off on how evil arabs were.. Gets on my nerves so When he starts talking about fanatics, I talk about Israeli fanatics which gets him worked up, I should just refuse to talk to him about anything that has to do with the middle east. <1> yeah i am not looking forward to that lupine <0> Besides I wasnt even talking about anything which he aimed at me. <0> And it ended up a 2 hour channel distraction. <4> BJ: the thing was, immediately when they yanked the packing out, I noticed a m***ive improvemetn in my breathing <1> ouch ft sounds more painful than my sinuses :) <1> that is good to hear lupine <1> he put some instrument in my nose to simulate how much better i would breath and i couldnt believe it <4> they also corrected my um, deviated septum? at the same time <5> FreeMrkts: I bought my jeans at a 'hood clothing store. Gang clothes everywhere <0> Its not fair to the people here when I make comparisons to his own tribes and the arab tribes its insulting to people. But the point I wanted to make is YOu cant judge people based on ethnicity you have to judge people as individuals and in fact at least 10% and Ive hears as much as 20% of all arabs are educated in the USA or the UK mostly or france.... <4> anyways, my nasal allergy problems were cut by a good 75% or so <0> MrRod are you serious ? <5> FreeMrkts: Serious. <1> wow thanks lupine that makes me feel better to hear that <4> i was told it itself doesn't cure allergies.. but when you are so impacted up there.. all the allergans just build up <5> FreeMrkts: I was the only white guy in there. <0> Lupine ahh you had this surgerty too ? <0> MrRod haha, Where did you go ? <5> FreeMrkts: It was a Nortenos store. Lots of red. <0> If you dont mind me asking on channel. <0> Really <0> wow <1> yeah they told me i had scar tissue up there from old infections and such <5> FreeMrkts: If you want a red baseball cap that says "408" on it then that's the place. Red is the Nortenos color. 408 is the area code. <4> BJ: yea, i had "gunk" [ technical medical term ] built up in my sinuses from infections.. they ****ed it out or something <8> the doctors and allergists I have seen to deal with my allergy to some tree pollens gave up. <0> Why dont you do like I do, Go to the goodwill for nice slacks, I swear to god men throw away brand new pairs all the time cause they dont fit they dont liek them, they dont want to take them back and their wife ends up sending it to the good will. <2> Had tonsils and adnoids removed when I was quite young. Until I moved to MO - never had any allergy problems -- <2> didn't have cottonwood trees where I grew up -- turns out - thats what sets my "allergies" off - lasts couple weeks and gone til later in fall <5> FreeMrkts: I get my underwear at Goodwill! ;) <0> If you want a good pare of jeans, find a orchard supply hardware store, they sell jeans by ****ies which are /12 the price of levis and Ive tested both last as long as levis.. <4> Kal: yea, i get it from pine trees.. but its less than a week a year <0> I always buy my underware fresh ;) Target or costco. <1> well i am glad to hear that my doctor is great too...it was so funny i am 42 and he looked at my nose and said it looked like i had fallen on it at my 3rd birthday party...he said that out of the blue and I had fallen on my nose at the 3rd birthday party <2> FreeMrkts -- local Goodwill and Blind Thrift often have NEW clothes (still with tags) end of yr stuff <5> FreeMrkts: Where do you get your hip-hugger Jordache jeans? <1> it was funny <0> But all my outer clothing, the ones you think I went and spent $50 for the shirt, and $80 for the jacket ? <2> Lupine -- once leaves are out of the buds -- I'm ok - then its later fall just before good frost... <4> BJ: i was young 20s when I had it done.. I wish they ahd that sooner! <0> I got all that at eithee the goodwill.. Out of the closet or Salvation army <2> ... brb <1> i am glad to hear it went so well for you lupine <5> FreeMrkts: Isn't Out of the Closet a gay clothing store? <4> FM: i do have one clothing vise.. tommy bahama shirts.. <0> Out of the closet is a thrift store which benefits aids victims. My wife shops there for me all the time. <4> i have a million of them, all embroidered <9> Well, six different internships applied for today. <0> Well Fox lupine and BabyJazz on the news this morning and I didnt get the details said there was something brand new for sinus repairs... <0> I am interested Babyjazz if thats what you are getting.. <5> Pickle: On Sunday? <9> FreeMrkts: Baloon angioplasty <0> I want to know more about it.. <0> Pickle was that it ? <9> FreeMrkts: Yep, for the first time they're using it in sinus surgery. <0> Damn how does it keep it open ? Do they leave splints in there or something ? <0> Or Shunts, I think thats a word <0> Interesting.. <1> i will have splints in mine for a week <4> they left those in my nose for a week <0> So they can blow it up bigger how to they keep the hole bigger pickle? <0> After they end it ? <0> Babyjazz on so yours is the same thing pickle is describing ? <0> Cool <9> FreeMrkts: I suppose so. I'm not sure of the details, but the important thing is that they use the "baloon" to open up the sinus rather than traditional shunts and whatnot. <0> I want to know how it goes for my wife and daughter.. <1> i dont think it is the balloon thing not sure though <0> Though I suppose it is not a cure for allergies right ?
