<4> baseboard heating is very nice .. a friend of ours has that in Denver and it works exceptionally well. It is radiant heat.
<3> Pickle: the house I grew up in only had radiators in the bedrooms, which were small enough that even dispersal didn't matter much. All the living areas (dining room, family room, etc.) had baseboard radiators around the entire perimeter of the room.

<4> The other problem with baseboard heating is that your drapes all have to stop about 6-8" from the floor so they don't cover the baseboard. It looks funny as hell.
