<2> Oax... One half of one branch out of three branches was elected under the original Constitution. Hardly what I'd call a democracy. We've had some democratic reforms so that both halves of that branch are now democratic elected and another branch's election is heavily influenced by democratic polls... but still not democratically elected, and the third branch remains entirely appointed.
