<0> .wz 94111 <1> Weather for China Basin Landing, San Francisco, California <1> Updated at 2:31 PM PDT on July 14, 2006 <1> Partly Cloudy, 67.4 F (19.7 C), Humidity 62% <1> Wind 12.0 MPH (19.3 KPH) From the South <2> could someone be help me solve a windows/photo mystery? <2> I got sent this photo (jpg and other than the face scratched out not edited) <2> so when I open the photo in a program (photoshop) <2> the face is scratched out <2> yet when I stand on the file in windows explorer <2> in the little preview window <2> the picture has nothing scratched on it <3> how do i "bookmark" a colour in photoshop <3> sorry i a noob <4> swatches palette <3> but how
<3> drag the colour into there <3> ? <4> i dont mean to be a **** but perhaps now is a good time to start reading the help file :] <3> yea i just did <3> and its embarrasingly easy <3> ahem.. click new <4> :) <3> one more question <3> with the default color picker <3> is there an easy way to drag HSB etc havlues <3> values <3> without having to type them in <4> switch it to hsb mode <4> oh you mean each individual one? <4> well H is the rainbow thing, you can drag on that. <4> S and B are the big colorful square <4> you can drag on that too <3> i just mean if u wated to change the brightness without changing the hue or saturation etc <3> in other packages you could just drag the B slider up and down <4> use the color picker palette <3> using the color palette you could move it off <4> off? <3> you could make the h and s change <4> you could but you could also just drag h s or b <3> how click B ? <3> oh you can i see.. <4> im talking about the color palette <3> i told you im really new to this <4> i know :] <3> its so obvious im embarrased i had to ask <3> one final question <3> if i make an adjustment layer <3> how do i make it only apply to particular layers <3> and not others <3> i tried linking.. but that didnt seem to do it <3> hmm <3> i added all the layers to a group <3> but now the adjustment layer does nothing <5> either you keep those layers at the bottom, and put your other layers on top - or you alt-click between adjustment layer & layer <3> does alt click make it only apply to layer below <5> only to the layer directly beneath it, which it gets 'linked' to <5> very useful feature <3> i see <3> but it cant do multiple layer <3> s <5> well, you can have more than one linked <5> if that does not work, you can in worst case duplicate your adjustment layers and link them to another layer <5> but it is not about getting photoshop to work the way you want everything, you rather got to learn photoshop and develop a smart workflow and learn the proper way to do it <5> it could be argued that it would be good if you could do it in your own preferred way, but it is also good that people keep to certain workflows when you ar emany working on same psd's <6> Yeah, so I had 2 HDs go out cause of a bad PSU and I lost all of my fonts. So being lazy, I went and purchased one of those font packages that included 4,200 fonts in total. I installed them all, and now photoshop runs slow as hell. Anyone heard of having to many fonts being a problem for Photoshop? <7> could someone recommend top range monitors for colour management <8> how can i create a dotted line with the line tool ? <9> can do it in illustrator, but in photoshop it's harder <8> k <8> what about imageready ? <9> I have an old tutorial on doing dashed lines...not that good though: http://www.valacar.com/art/tuts/dash/index.html <8> thanks :) <8> also, where did the bucket fill tool go from photoshop 7.0 to cs 9.0 what im using now <9> it's under the gradient tool if I remember...click and hold left mouse button on the gradient tool <10> I don't mean to be a bother, but could someone please help me with something? I was just curious if someone could modify this PSD file for me. If I am not in the right to ask then I apologize in advance. <11> how can I merge vector points in photoshop?
<12> any1 here <13> is it possible to set it so that if you have a bunch of text layers, you can click on a text layer on the actual work area.. and then work with that layer? <13> rather than having to select the layer in the 'layers' palette <5> press v to choose the select that arrow tool <5> then in the upper bar, click the checkbox "auto-select layer" <5> -the on the first line <5> can't remember what that tool is called. v is the shortcut. it's probably named select tool or arrow tool or something like it <5> it's an arrow at the top of the tool palette <13> hmm.. that selects any old layer <13> moves all my graphics etc.. <13> :( <5> selects the layer that you click on <13> actually.. yeah, if i click exactly on the text.. that'll do fine.. thanks :) <5> yes. and if you click Text Tool and go over a text layer, the text tool will change, then you can click, and it will edit in the text layer that you had mouse above <5> np <5> (the mouse icon will change, if it wasn't clear enough) <14> if you have the text tool selected <14> er <14> the arrow <14> you can right click on the document <14> and it'll list all the layers that occupy that space (where your cursor is) <14> so you can select the text/layer that way too <13> that right click is still quite precise.. if you miss the text and right click the layer beneith.. it doesn't list the text layer.. <14> truth ;o <14> but if you're working with small text, just zoom in ;o <14> at least thats why i do <14> we all have our ways of working with photoshop :P <14> 1000 different paths to similar results :P <13> yeah :) <13> anyone have any of their work on display anyway.. websites etc? <14> i havnt done photoshop "Art" in a long time :P especially since i dont have a tablet anymore im too lazy to do things by mouse. i only do webdesign and photo editing in photoshop now ;o <15> make filter art:p <14> filter art? <15> :p <15> nvm <14> lol <14> oh <14> k i know what you mean :P <14> i havnt used filters in a long.. long time lol <15> i used filters only @ first <14> although i suppose blending options are technically filters <14> so i guess i do, i take that back <14> i havnt touched the filter menu in a long time is what i meant <15> but i switched to layer styles <15> yeah blending i mean <14> yeah <14> you can accomplish mostly everything you need in there <15> god i hte my keyboard : <15> :S <15> i ordered a new one but it arrived when i was on vacation so it was sent back <15> suddenly i've got lots of weapons o_O <15> w00t. <15> talk to me someone <14> weapons? :P <16> hi <17> mornin <17> ok...I will have BECCA CALL YOU <16> hahaha <16> k <17> sweet <16> man <16> i should prolly save those tricks for tonight <18> guys <18> anyone have Photoshop_small font in their PS ? <16> wtf <16> later <19> hey guys, is there a way to select all white colors in a picture? I am trying to put white grunge brushes on my black text. I then want to delete all white colors in the layer so it can look like a beat up test, any suggestions? <19> text** <19> I know you can use magic eraser, but that would take far to long ;/ with these grunge brushes anyways <20> does anyone know why ALWAYS when I open a PSD with text I get that "the text layers need to be updated" <20> no matter how many times I update them, it keeps whining I wanna kill it, I WANNA KILL It
