<2> i should have sent some goatse <1> annoying <1> cya around <4> there's a symbol, it's small and I can't read it. If zoom in to about 1000% the symblox is large enough but it's blurred and unreadable <5> link <4> is there anything could be done to read the symbol? <4> hold on <5> alright <4> http://picccs.mine.nu/~pics/symbol.jpg <4> theooo there's the url link <5> k <5> lool <5> I dont think you'll figure out what the symbol looks like <5> It's too small <5> What's on the rest of the picture? or is this all of the picture? <4> maybe there's a 3rd party plug-in which is intelligent enough to provide extra pixels to see the image when it's zoomed in to 1000%? <5> Could be, only seen it in movies though :x <5> If you 'generate' more pixels, it's most likely going to be different from reality <4> it could be close enough to guess it yourself <5> Well as I was saying <5> is this all of the picture, or just a crop? <4> remember the names of those movies? :)) <4> oh well <4> it's a crop <5> Maybe the picture itself contains more info? <5> Where is taht symbol sticked on? <4> I don't have the whole of the picture <4> I think it's bolted on or it has been glued to the surface <5> On what? <4> I am guessing it's a car <5> I have no clue man, sorry <4> oki doki <6> Hello. Ive got some issues with color and brightness.. the saved picture (jpeg) seems to have a higher brightness and more 'flat' colours. Anyone know about that problem? <7> again the same question :) <2> rambo3: have you tried experimenting with the quality setting? <6> yes, both "save for web" and plain save <7> rambo3: it is different in all other softwares and browsers, only in photoshop that it looks right? <7> if so, you probably got proofing set to CMYK colors <7> change it to monitor RGB <8> aia: probably to do with attached profiles <6> Yes, when I open it in preview or a browser, the colors is a bit "dull" <6> (8bit, rgb) <7> rambo3: either it is proofing that is setup wrong, or it is the attached ICC profile that can't be interpreted properly in all browsers.. <6> hmkey.. how do I remove a icc profile, so I can work in "real colors"? <7> try to look at that proof setup first <7> that's a very common problem these days <6> hm, is that in preferences? <7> it's in some menu <7> proof setup / proofing it says <7> and when you fold out the menu, CMYK proofing is probably selected <7> choose monitor RGB instead <7> 3rd menu from the right or something like that <6> ah... proof setup > working cmyk <6> so selecting "monitor RGB", than it will be saved in exact of what the monitor shows? <7> rambo3: yes <7> try it <6> cool. thanks, it worked like a charm <7> CMYK proofing is for print. A lot of people run in to this problem, since they want to do graphics for web. doesn't help much with CMYK proofing then <6> have had the same problem several times.. I just did a pretty ugly semi-fix with tuning up the contrast before saving <6> yes, that I know. but I thought it was proper to just set "mode rgb" or cmyk. <7> well. this is a feature that should be disabled by default, I believe
<8> why <7> it's not that intuitive that it is enabled by default. but I'd guess it won't be on by default in CS3, I guess they have gotten feedback on this, since it is a common problem <8> :) CS3 beta is nice <6> when does CS3 come? <7> Echoes: well. proofing for CMYK is only for print. There are a lot of people who are using photoshop for RGB <8> although i don't like the positioning of the new tool bar <8> aia - yep <8> i guess it should have a start up screen when you first run saying "do you work mainly with print, or web, or both?" <6> Its a bit annoying running photoshop in rosetta <8> rambo3: use the CS3 beta <8> it is Universal binary <8> runs like a dream <6> is it free? I cant do wares-stuff <7> rambo3: if you got a proper CS2 license, you can use the CS3 beta <6> ok <8> ya <8> and if you have a CS2 windows key, email the PS3 team, and they will give you a mac one <8> if you want to use it on a mac <8> but only for the beta <9> anyone awake? <9> If I'm about to let a printing house have a copy of a PDF file to print out <9> how high resolution need the images be? <9> photos that is <9> will 300 pixels per inch do? <9> (the number seen under Image Size... in photoshop) <10> yes <10> 300 dpi is the recommedation for photos <10> line art should be 1200 dpi <10> pdfs should be cmyk color space and set to press quality <8> look up p***4press <8> Sura-Bura <11> hi i was playing around a couple months ago with photoshop cs but i cant figure how i did it, i took a photo and i added around the border a snowflake effect like it was automated, but everyone i choose or try to find doesnt work like it did by itself what em i looking for <12> not sure it's available in stock filters <11> ya it was a filter or whatever u call it, it didnt cover the entire the photo just around it <11> i cant remember how i did that lol <11> i figured it was in the photo package option but it wasnt there <11> so no idea eh <13> so no idea eh? <9> hmm <9> how can I see if a pdf is properly cmyk or not <9> can one see that for a pdf already made? <0> anyone know of a good button tutorial for a cartoony button...that isn't glossy/aqua-esque :) <14> back 5 minutes and already a google question <0> That's why I asked it <10> lol <0> cuz all the stuff on google is like the Mac Aqua-style button :) <14> do a better search noob <0> ok, not all <12> ni gm <14> yo <12> georgia eh? :) <14> yeah...not for much longer though <12> southeast is wacky :P <14> southeast suuuuucks <12> they have nascar and pulled pork though heh <12> i lived there longer than i wanted though... <14> if that's their only contribution to society, we're fuggered <12> well, there's also college football <10> anyone wanna suggest a goof font manager program? <10> goof = good <12> there's only one i thought <10> which is? <12> well, there's more odd ones... <12> ATM <10> adobe type manager? <12> yeah <10> im looking for somethign that sorts fonts..allows me to turn folders on and off etc. <10> i dont think atm doe sthat or doe sit? <12> atm does allow you to turn font collections on/off <10> We're sorry, but Adobe has discontinued the sale and development of Adobe Type Manager (ATM) Deluxe software for Macintosh and Windows. <10> dang <12> uh... <12> right, i thought i haven't seen releases in a while <10> they have light..but im not sure that sorts fonts.
