<0> Hey <0> if I want to follow -current, must I change my PKG_PATH to the snapshots directory? <1> Yep
<0> Right, thanks :) <2> top shows 'Free: 196M' on my box.. does that imply that, currently, 512M-196M=316M of memory is occupied? Where do see how much of that is used by caches and buffers? <2> +I <1> vmstat, 'systat vm' <2> thanks, hmm, i guess it is realistic to say that I got 453892 KB free, as that's what "systat vm" shows in free/All (column/row) <3> hi all <3> is anyone here using the mysql-server package in -current? i'm having a issue with accessing views i created in my server <3> they work on my production DB server which runs linux so I know the views are valid, but not when i restored the backup to my openbsd workstation to test some updates before they went into production <4> both are the same mysql version? what issues? you get a specific error? <3> it is on the same workstaion, the error is "ERROR 1017 (HY000): Can't find file: './von/VAcct.frm' (errno: 9)" <3> and the -client and -server packages were installed at the same time
<4> sounds more like running out of file handles <5> yer, maybe set open-files-limit in /etc/my.cnf <4> mysqld_safe --open-files-limit=2048 & <4> or such, see the mysql docs <4> -current and views are just red herrings, i bet ;) <5> and also do a repeair with mysqlcheck on your db's <3> the --open-files-limit option worked <3> thanks <5> thats nasty that <5> should be patched in the port
Return to
#openbsd or Go to some related
