<0> I have some developers who would like to use CVS on one of our OpenBSD servers to work on a project together. What is the best way to set this up for multiple developers? My idea is mkdir like /mnt/development; have it owned by some group like developers; and make all the users members of the group. Is that the right way to do it? <1> can someone please point me to where I can learn more about understanding load averages? I'm running 3.9, and am getting 0.78, 0.50, 0.30 -- which doesnt make any sense. between 90 & 99% cpu Free, 0% of swap used.. etc..
<2> google: "load average" <3> yeah`: load average is the number of processes running on cpu or waiting to run on the cpu, averaged out over the last 1/5/15 minutes <3> that's all <1> yeah thats what I understand.. <1> but as I said, it doesnt add up.. <3> sure it does <1> ohh.. im an idiot. the NUMBER of processes averages over the last 1/5/15.. not what those processes are specifically doing.
<1> or how much CPU they eat, etc.. <2> yeah`: load average has not much to do with how much your CPU is actually doing <1> ok.. cool.. well im glad thats settled before I made a real fool of myself elsewhere :) <1> well.. thanks! <2> is BSD accounting IO(or waiting for IO) with load average?
