<1> everyone's delaying this plan to supposedly save the team in the city with casinos... the initial plan didnt take any zoning or construction problems into account, now they're considering it more seriously and its just so hard to get people to back it because they dont want to be labeled as tax-raisers. the city is already so in debt, although the superbowl probably helped a little :) its a shame, the pens are a fun team.

<3> I can't see Canada getting more NHL teams. The only markets left are borderline as far as their chances for long term success. You need a lot more going for you than just butts in the seats. I don't see someone in Hamilton coming up with $80 million or whatever it is for an expansion fee. And I don't see a franchise that's moving, choosing Hamilton or Winnipeg over a larger US market
