<4> i'm running win xp and i see with netstat that several ports are set to listening (1025, 134, 445, 1029, 1030)... these are blocked by my router but shouldn't i be able to connect to them with telnet from other computers on my netowkr?

<4> the router seems to allow me to telnet to all the ports on other computers on my lan... for instance, i can telnet and connect to 1025 on one computer, the other i receive "connection failed"... other ports work on both computers.... no feedback when connecting to any of them, just trying to understand the idea of telnet connecting here
