<0> thx <1> heya todd <0> yo riz <1> you're an east bay guy - how long should I leave to get to OAK from vito's tonight? <0> usually takes me between 30-40 minutes depending on excess speed <0> ugh, I almost forgot about Vito's <0> i would have seen it on my calendar though <1> k, that's about what I figured <1> stupid parents flying to the inconvenient airport <0> hah <0> I like OAK because JetBlue and Southwest have a big presence there <0> and it's close :) <1> yeah, jetblue's nice. But I live <15m from SFO :) <1> and no bay crossings :) <0> heh hard to compete with that then <2> riz: leaving town?
<1> Not today <1> picking mom and dad up from the airport <1> leaving town Sunday, tho <1> wait, that's right - you're in town, aren't you? <2> I'm arriving in SJO at 8AM, then driving to Moscone Center, having lunch with Mike Sweet, and then driving back for a 6PM flight <1> sjc or sfo? <1> sjc seems silly, so i'd guess sfo :) <3> SJO is San Jose; where's SJC? <2> Santa Clara is SJC? <2> I can never remember <2> I'm riding the intel shuttle <0> SJC is the San Jose Int'l airport <0> but santa clara is very close to that <0> I don't think SJO is an airport... at least not here <1> SJO is San Jose, Costa Rica :) <0> haha <0> ok <0> I'll buy that <4> yup <5> may I download anywhere netbsd-current iso? <6> neologism: for what arch? <5> i386 <6> neologism: see carneous.net <5> thnx <7> neo: ftp.netbsd.org:/pub/NetBSD-daily/HEAD should have some <5> ok.. thank you <8> lo mspo <9> hey <9> I just secured a plant for my cube area :) <8> my cube is quite big enough for a plant <8> we're moving cubes friday <8> my new cube is going to be in front of the conference room door <8> that kind of wonks <9> ****s <8> that means everyone that walks in and out of the conference room will see me <8> and some day there are 3 or 4 meetings in that one (there are like 10 other ones throughout the building) <8> er 9 <9> we need more conference rooms <8> the upstairs exec conference room is nice <8> i mean, really nicd <8> er nice <6> execs need to feel good about themselves <6> I've seen a couple of not for profits where the exec board room is as plush as any <9> kaiser is nonprofit <9> (that's a multi-billion dollar insurance company/HMO, if you didn't know) <10> MadScribe where's the new job? <8> working for a company with multiple interest in the Healthcare industry <8> staffing, information resources <8> etc <11> You sell viagra, Madscribe? <8> IS i guess is better a description t <8> -t <8> hmm... <11> You said healthcare:) <8> IS is I guess is better a description <8> there we go <8> complete thoughts <10> Congrats <10> When are you and mspo getting married? <11> :D
<12> I'm trying to scp a file from a windows machine running openssh to my netbsd machine. The command I'm trying to use is: scp Chris@domain.com:"E:\My Music\Albums\Rod Stewart - Greatest Hits" -P 1111 /Users/chris/Music/mp3 but I am getting a Pemission denied error when typing in my p***word. Yet a simple ssh Chris@domain.com -p 1111 works fine. <8> o_O <12> windows problem? <10> I guess NetBSD has better taste :) <10> I don't think you can scp a directory, by the way. <11> -v <10> You have to scp files in the directory <10> (I could be wrong) <12> sub ? <11> Elops? <12> -v ? <12> I didnt get that <11> add the -v option to your parameters <12> let me try <12> scp -P 1111 -r Chris@thefux0red.com:"E:/My\ Music/Albums/The\ Tea\ Party\ -\ MuchMusic\ I\&I" /Users/chris/Music/mp3 <12> that worked <7> nice domain :)) <8> i don't think mspo's woman would be too hot on anyone other than her snagging him <8> just reading scrollback <8> and well, really i still fail to understand what girls see in guys in the first place <11> MadScribe, a free AMEX card? <8> heh <7> hm. <13> Of course it runs NetBSD <8> but where do the batteries go? <13> In the back of course. <4> wtg <9> <yawn> <8> yup <14> anyone has tried fiddling with HZ values ? <14> any obvious problems with increasing it ? <9> so that email job I was looking at fell through <10> Increasing it will give you lower latency, but also lower throughput <11> Sorry to hear that <9> <shrug> <14> jmcneill: but will it in anyway improve clock accuracy ? <9> it looks like I was in the middle of a little management game :) <7> http://www.feyrer.de/NetBSD/blog.html/nb_20060809_1839.html <15> mspo: your company's management mails fake job offers to their employees to see if they'll bite? :p <16> whee <15> hubertEF: do you happen to know what those Meshcube thingies cost? <7> michie: read http://www.feyrer.de/NetBSD/blog.html/nb_20060809_1839.html <7> .oO("Error!") <15> hubertEF: eep <15> hubertEF: 700$ is pretty steep <7> yep <15> actually <15> s/steep/insane/ <15> since you can get similar devices for EUR 25 or so <7> can you? <7> do they run netbsd? :-) <15> not that, but they run linux <15> let me look up the specs for the thingy I bought recently <15> 2 Mb ROM, 16 MiB RAM, 4 Fast Ethernet, 2 USB connectors, 175 Mhz MIPS <15> it cost me 29 Euros <7> michie: what brand? <15> hubertEF: Edimax <15> hubertEF: BR-6104K <9> michie1- it was a real offer <17> in perl, how can i do a word-only search and replace? <15> mspo: ok, just projecting my worst fears about management people on you <17> ie replace foo with bar, but do not replace food with bard? <17> s/\bfoo\b/bar/g <7> michie1: http://pmjdebruijn.blogspot.com/2005/09/midge.html <15> hubertEF: yes, I'd been thinking about playing with that <15> actually, since there's plenty of documentation available for the board, it should be possible to port NetBSD to it <15> if only I were technically competent and single-minded enough to try <17> now, how do i get perl to replace only the last occurance of foo in a line? <17> s/\(.*\)\bfoo\b/\1bar/ ? <9> reuben- you could do an if lookahead failed, the replace, else next <9> reuben- but there might be a better way <9> you might be able to specify only one match and then read the line backwards
