<dmmrs> when it runs the findfile cmd, it is always one txt file behind, eg if the latest send of a txt made it a total of 25 txts in the dir
<dmmrs> itll read that theres 24
<dmmrs> and so on
<dmmrs> any ideas on why its doing that?
<Chr1stoph> dmmrs: confusing
<dmmrs> yeah
<dmmrs> i thought so
<Chr1stoph> I can't seem to figure it out either
<dmmrs> its as if it doesn't register theres a new file there
<dmmrs> yet, if i manually run the alias afterward
<dmmrs> it registers
<Chr1stoph> seem's like it's updating to me
<Chr1stoph> but, not sure man..
<mzz> excuse me can someone help me please?
<Calif> can I nest while loops?
<TheHouse> yes
<Calif> k
<TheHouse> but not on one line
<TheHouse> dont ask why
<Calif> k
<Calif> Can i do $+(*,$chr(32),%var,$chr(32),*)
<Calif> useful if searching for a certain word in a text file ;p
<argv[0]> Calif of course not so useful if the word is the first or last in the line
<argv[0]> but yes
<TkA> how do i get someone to hilight my name
<TkA> &me?
<Chr1stoph> you can't get someone to highlight your name, they have to do it
<TkA> no in mirc hilight
<TkA> you put somethign in so whenever someone says yur name it hilights the text
<Chr1stoph> alright, so you want to highlight your own name?
<TkA> yeah when someone says it
<Chr1stoph> you can try $me, not sure if it'll work exactly as it's supposed to
<TkA> ok say my name
<Chr1stoph> if you put in your name as TkA, you can try that way
<TkA> ok
<TkA> it works
<TkA> thanks
<Chr1stoph> yep
<TkA> #me
<TkA> $me even
<TkA> thx man
<TkA> l8r!
<Chr1stoph> alright, wasn't too sure
<Chr1stoph> c'ya
<Ragold> Hello
<Calif> the script on the link im about to put is supposed to log a question asked in chan, write the question to a file in the %txtlog variable. Then cross reference a file, called Remword.txt which has a list of words like, "is, or, of, to, and, if, can, do, etc" that are contained in many questions. If the question asked (such as my test question from a remote client)
<Calif> ..contains any one of the words in the "RemWord" file, I want to use the echo command to display that word each time a match between the two files is found, scanning one line (single words per line) at a time in the remword file, using a while loop to inc the line each time and checik to see if it is a match.
<Calif> nstead of telling me if it finds matches, it doesnt seem to cross reference instead it just reads the list of words in the file one at a time as %i gets inc'd
<Calif> *instead , http://www.nomorepasting.com/paste.php?pasteID=57591
<Calif> matching words, aren't seeming to all be matching anything in $1- / txtlog ;p
<Chr1stoph> Calif: a few things
<Calif> k
<Chr1stoph> 1.. the multiple vars, can be put in 1 line.. such as var %remfile = F:\compendium\Remword.txt, %txtlog = F:\compendium\Compendium.txt, %inilog F:\Compendium\compendium.ini, %LogQline = $lines(%txtlog), %Remlines = $lines(%remfile), %i = 1
<Calif> I know, thats just user preference there ;p
<Chr1stoph> the direct link to the file, if F:\Compendium is your mIRC Directory.. you can replace it with $mircdircRemword.txt
<Chr1stoph> alright
<Chr1stoph> another is.. line 15, your missing a % for txtlog
<Calif> ooo
<Chr1stoph> $+(*,$chr(32),%var,$chr(32),*)
<Chr1stoph> what is %var? it's not specified
<Calif> remword
<Chr1stoph> alright, well after those 2 corrections, see what the new result is
<Calif> yeah
<Calif> sec
<Chr1stoph> you can replace it with $mircdircRemword.txt *** It would be $mircdirRemword.txt
<Chr1stoph> added a c for some odd reason
<Calif> well its not even on the same drive letter as mirc
<Calif> Im testing this in an outside folder due to being about to format soon, I've moved alot of things over, and any scripts im working on, im keeping the scripts and so on on the other drive
<Calif> anyway, i did them two and still the same thing
<Calif> for How is it that I go about setting up an Fserv?"
<Calif> *for " ....
<Chr1stoph> k, then go ahead and link it out as you have it right now.. I wasn't sure if you were going to send it out to any public people or anyone at all, because it wont know where to look
<Calif> i get matches for "from"
<Chr1stoph> k, let me look over now
<Chr1stoph> from? humm...
<Calif> If you want, i will include a copy of the file with the remwords/aka adjectives (I think that is the term)
<Chr1stoph> your telling mIRC, if a ? is in the text.. why not just put it on *:text:?*:#Channel: {}
<Calif> im just using like 10 sample words and asking questions that contain some of them
<Chr1stoph> alright
<Calif> I tried that, mirc interprets it as an operator
<Calif> like you would see in a host "?" is equal to a single character wildcard
<Calif> im going to put a new paste
<Calif> updated code
<Chr1stoph> Calif: check the wishproject

<^1q2w3e4r> Hi
<Mentality> hi
<^1q2w3e4r> 2H12i
<^1q2w3e4r> Anyone know a good channel limiter (+l) script for mIRC
<^1q2w3e4r> ?
<Mentality> ^1q2w3e4r, for scripts/bots you can check out numerous script-related websites. Try these: www.mirc.net - www.mircscripts.com - www.hawkee.com - www.mircscripts.org - www.google.com (Search) :)
<redpanda> hi
<redpanda> anyone here knows how to make mirc interact
<redpanda> with websites ?
<redpanda> make scripts to make it interact with websites?
<^1q2w3e4r> 2N12o
<Mentality> redpanda, you need to use sockets
<Mentality> ^1q2w3e4r, please disable your script
<^1q2w3e4r> Why?
<Mentality> redpanda, quite complicated if you don't know how... search www.mirc.net and www.mircscripts.org for tutorials
<Mentality> ^1q2w3e4r: Because it is sending annoying coloured words to the channel
<Mentality> <^1q2w3e4r> 2N12o <- like that
<^1q2w3e4r> No. Why?
<Mentality> I just told you why
<dmmrs> ^1q2w3e4r: are you a bot?
<^1q2w3e4r> 2N12o
<dmmrs> programmed to respond with colored no's to each question
<dmmrs> Mentality, did you see the script i pasted earlier, im loathe to spam the channel again
<dmmrs> and if so, do you have any ideas
