<0> not really
<0> agp pro is a nice solution.
<1> Funny
<1> I figured PCI-Express was a nice solution.
<1> what with the SLI and such
<2> hey when your computer is relaly noisy with high frequency noise
<2> which fan is it usually?
<3> I'm having some issues
<3> I just bought The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion
<3> The CD worked fine on a frinds computer
<3> But it won't read on mine
<3> It says 0 free and 0 used for the drive
<3> and it acts as if the cd is empty
<4> hey, i've got a small problem :|, tho it's not so small for me ;P
<4> hehe
<4> i have motherboard msi kt880

<4> and recently i've bought dvb card ( skystar 2.6D )
<4> no the problem is that after i've installed fresh system ( winXP ) installed all drivers for lan (built in mother board )
<4> it works fine while transferring files between computers through router
<4> but, when i insert skystar into my pci slot
<4> install drivers and programs that use this card.
<4> and run such program, and try to transfer files, then somehow networks is closing and opening conenction
<4> you know what i mean? i guess that there's conflict between those two devices, because both of them are shown in device manager as network adapters
<5> Hi :) Does anyone know of a Socket 478 motherboard that supports Socket 478 P4s and PCI-E?
<5> I'm planning a major upgrade of my PC, but I haven't yet decided how for to take it.
<5> *how far
<6> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16813130539
<6> 4 you
<6> what are you using now?
<5> Richter I've seen that, but it's a Pentium M board, not a P4 board. The two are incompatible :-(
<6> its a p4 board
<6> pentium-m uses 479
<6> ah
<6> guess it is just pentium-m
<6> o well
<5> Look under CPU Type, and FSB. It doesn't support the 800mhz FSB.
<5> Currently I'm running a 3Ghz Northwood P4, 1 gig ram and a Radeon X850 Pro.
<6> stick with that
<6> u've got that fastest thing p4 has to offer
<5> I'm considering just building a whole new system with a dual core Athlon 64 system.
<6> swell
<5> Keeping this box around as a file server or something :)
<6> dual core is just smp
<5> Yeah. I'd mainly want dual core for better multitasking. Since the new CPU wouldn't have HyperThreading, dual core will more than make up for that.
<6> no
<6> hyperthreading has nothing to do with smp or dual cpu
<6> dual cpu is not one giant super cpy
<6> its just 2
<6> in a single chip
<6> sharing memory bandwidth
<6> with greatly reduced latencies
<6> and more aptly
<6> 2ghz athlon64 = 3ghz p4
<6> with out any 64bit software
<5> Yeah. I was looking at the 4400+ X2. That runs at 2.2Ghz with 1mb cache per core.
<6> with or with out vaunted hyperthreading
<6> well
<6> do you actually have any major programs that NEED dual processor?
<6> heh
<6> idiot
<7> Clarissa1 - porn bot
<8> Noen her som vet hvordna program jeg m bruke for kunen brenne ut en img fil?
<6> speak english
<9> english.
<9> I should ban *.pl :/
<4> why?
<10> if you're going to do anything, start with *.no
<10> then *.aol.com
<9> because most of 'me appear to be ****tards
<9> em*
<11> anyone know a good simple small tool that can compress avi files ?
<9> virtualdub I think
<12> Hi
<12> What type of fan is 12cmm?
<12> VENTILATION Front: 12cm Fan x 1 + Rear: 12cm( or 8cm or 9cm fan) x 1 Optional
<11> ok il try it
<6> 12 cn

<6> thats the size, msg
<6> cm
<12> Richter, yeah but is it a 80mm fan or 120mm fan?
<6> heh
<6> post me the url
<6> for ur case
<12> ok
<12> http://www.evercase.com/newsite/2product/ece4502.htm
<12> http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16811127068
<12> both the same case
<6> it'd be mm
<6> cm is larger then the case
<12> ok but what type of fans do I want to buy for it? 80mm or 120mm or do they sell 12mm fans?
<6> 120mm
<6> 12mm is *VERY* small
<6> 24mm = 1 inch
<12> ok so 120mm I'll start looking for fans then
<6> well
<6> panaflo
<13> This processor rules :) Spent $250 on it, and I'm getting performance better than Intel's fastest $1000 processors :)
<6> and you expected somthing less from an athlon64?
<13> Who said anything about AMD?
<6> wtf else would you be using
<13> Pentium D 920 with the FSB set @ 1200mhz on air cooling = 4.2Ghz beast :-)
<6> not impressed
<6> its only a p4
<6> its only 4ghz
<6> next.
<13> Strange that it beat my friends Athlon 64 X2 4200+ on a lotta benchmarks, he overclocked his plenty too ;-0
<6> and?
<6> its a p4
<6> its only 4ghz
<6> thats..
<6> slow
<13> And? Athlon 64 X2, only 2.6Ghz. Next.
<6> yep.
<13> He only won on the gaming benchmarks, and I could easily attribute that to his faster video card.
<6> and?
<13> Geforce 7800 GTX vs Radeon X1800 XL aint equal.
<6> you must be a tomshardware.com guy
<13> Actually, I mainly visit hexus.net
<6> yeah
<6> ur tommyshardware.com alright
<14> whats wrong with tomshardware
<6> another "clock speed is king..performance? who needs it!"
<13> Performance does indeed matter. At 4.2Ghz it just blazes thorugh everything. AMD might have a more efficient architecture, but when the most they can get from it is 2.6Ghz it hardly matters.
<13> I suppose Intel whacking 4mb l2 cache on this processor does help :-)
<15> http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=195319
<15> helt nytt system, noen som har ide til hvor feilen ligger? nyeste av alle drivere
<6> english
<15> wops wrong chan
<16> hi everyone!
<16> i'll get str8 to the point
<16> i am about to buy a new pc
<6> .......
<6> and u want somene to "check" your specs
<16> nops
<16> just one question
<6> ok
<6> fire away
<16> i wanna buy OCZ Powerstream 600W
<6> k
<16> it is an SLI psu
<16> but
<16> i wanna buy x1900 xtx
<6> k
<13> Kuestral That's fine, it'll work.
<16> and after some time upgrade it to a dual crossfire system
<16> will it work?
<13> My PSU is "SLI Ready" and it works with Ati cards, and crossfire.
<6> sure
<13> (That's on a Gigabyte 975X board)
<16> coz i see some strange cables :P
<13> I've got the X1800 XL, and eventually want to get an X1800 XT or another X1800 XL and run a crossfire setup.
