<0> i dont know what will fit this mofo - <0> http://www.motherboard.cz/mb/ecs/P4S5ADX.htm <0> anythinjg <0> anything? <1> 300 gig disks? People get very emotional about disks. I've had all sorts of stuff and none have failed me. Currently i have Maxtors. Some say Maxtors **** but I can't see why. Hitachi is ok I guess. Seagate is probably what i would buy but that's because their disks are SATAII with NCQ. Oh yeah Western Digital is also ok. <0> i got maxotor and seagate <1> Seagate bought Maxtor so i guess they might fade out the Maxtor brand. Not sure about that. <0> http://www.ocworkbench.com/hardware/elite/p4s5a/p4s5ap3.htm <0> this is my motherboard <0> can anyone recommend a fan? <1> the zalman CNPS7000B-AlCu is probably around 30 dollars and it looks like an easy fit for most mobos. <1> If I were you I'd measure how much you have room next to your PSU and CPU slot. Your mobo seems to have the CPU next to the PSU. <0> thanks, jkaurane: you know i have no idea what happens if i get a fan thats to slow for a CPU! <1> (if you have a small case)
<1> nothing seriously bad with an Intel P4 <0> fire? <1> It will just freeze. The P4 has a fast thermal protection circuit. <0> oh <1> You can turn on the computer without a heatsink and it will just crash or something. <1> crash in bios <1> But don't try that, ok? :P <0> right <1> http://www.zalman.co.kr/ <1> Look at the measurements on the Zalman site and try to figure out if it fits. <0> oh wow <0> i had no idea that its just the size <1> well the Zalman product has attaching clamps for your cpu-socket type <1> Not all coolers will fit. <0> yes! <0> found one :) <1> argh, my firewall is sputtering. have to reboot. BBL. <0> <0> CNPS7700-Cu <0> High performance CPU cooling without the Noise ! <2> wtf <2> my Fucntion buttosdn are screwed up <1> not only them it would seem <2> f5 <2> pulls up the SAVE box <2> instead of refresh <2> oh .. Flock wasnt on <2> :p <1> eh. <3> lawl <4> whats yay? <1> the true nature of yay must never be revealed to those who do not believe <2> yay- showing excitemnt <4> Yay! <3> yay is like gay only not. <1> i was going to make a bad joke but then i stopped :( <3> :P <1> now i must leave to the shop to buy shoe laces and no. they're not for me killing myself. <4> hehe <5> Every CDR or CDRW disc I record is either unreadable or full of errors. I've tried several different programs, and it's always the same. Discs get burned fine, but they unreadable or full of errors. Everything used to work before. <5> Anyone any ideas? <6> that means they dont get burned fine <6> or the drive you are using to read them is **** <5> Well, all the programs I used don <5> report any erors. <5> Should I clean it or something? <5> The lens that is? <6> try another drive first <5> Hmm. I don't have any other CDRW drive, do you mean just to check readability of CDs? <7> good news: you can run windows on mac: http://www.apple.com/macosx/bootcamp/ <8> any of you have experience with wintv cards <8> anyone recommend any good tv programs compatible with win tv cards? <9> !seen flyback <10> he's banned
<1> sad. no new questions to answer :( <10> you need some questions jkaurane? <10> :) <11> why is the sky blue? <1> :P <12> neoimp: Because red light does not travel as far as blue light does. <1> actually... blue light scatters better than red light does <11> the wavelengths? <13> anyoneone got DFI Lan PArty SLI Xpert? <14> Noen her som har hvert borti maba fr ? <6> why would you think anyone speaks that <13> bez theres a major site in norway called hardware <13> and most of the channals from Norway are on efnet <15> fawk, my raptor died on me yesterday <15> fawk fawk fawk, time for an RMA <16> a previous office has a PBX system and Biz DSL...they have a blue and yellow wire crimped together going into the dsl modem phone port....from their it is going to the fax line on the PBX. I don't know which blue/yellow wires those are coming from. I am trying to hook up th biz dsl on the new office. Any suggestions <10> call the phone company <10> heh <16> verizon said tey don't recommend going thru the PBX <16> but they have it set up this one way now...I dont know <17> anyone know how to unlock TMbile Phones <17> anyone know how to unlock MOTOROLLA TMbile Phones for free <18> w***up guys <19> hmm.. so I was just given a antec 330w psu.. <19> it works.. but it has the usual antec 12v syndrome <19> hm <19> its got a 12v vsense line.. <19> that makes things easy <19> I guess I'll fix it and write a guide on fixing power supplies <19> interesting. its got 3 vsense lines. <19> meaning.. ;x <20> whatup RuKK <21> Anyone beside me familiar with the problem that Windows XP simply wont comply with AMD3700+ (64bit) ABIT K8N SLI ? I keep getting errors about corrupted files.. The problem was partly fixed by installing HOTFIXES & SP2. But still, it wont do on particular files. (Not aware of what sort it wont work with) And, it haves problems cooperating well with the network (slow speed, generally ****ed up!) and for example gmail.com gives me an timeo <1> corrupted files? sounds like a problem with ram or the disk <21> Nah <21> I thought so as well yeah.. But then I switched new RAM and DISK <15> RMA number in huge size 48 font.. can't miss that ****. <1> if your cpu or mobo is shot then it's unlikely windows will boot <21> jkaurane, thought so.. But it happend after that <1> after you swapped ram and the disk? <21> So I was guessing on something like WinXP and 64bit CPU doesnt work that well <21> no, before AND after :/ <1> winxp should work just fine. what drivers and stuff did you put into it? <21> The bundled ones with the MB. <21> ABIT NV939-1.00M <21> And extendly if I push the HDD into to much load, winXP gives an bluescreen.. And I have no experience with debugging those files =/ <1> overclocked the computer? <21> No <21> All standar configured. <12> What driver does it blue screen on? <21> CPU temperatur of 22C <12> STOP ERROR blah blah blah IMPORTANT.SYS <21> Thats a good question since it reboots 1 second after the blue screen :P <12> Need to know the IMPORTANT part. <21> I've got the dmp files, if that helps <12> Could always run windbg on the minidumps, too. <12> Sorry, aside from that, I don't have much time to help. <21> Thats what I was aiming for, didnt know how to debug them <12> ah, google for help on windbg and minidumps. <21> sure =) <12> !verbose or some cruft after loading symbole info :P <21> I guess its a multiply problem <14> some one her so know mambo?
