<0> ANyway BRB <1> what <1> should it be lower <2> anyone read my question? <0> Well I figured out why I was idling 4 degrees above normal <0> Thermal ****ing paste. When I put switched processors, I cleaned the thermal paste off of both heatsinks, then reapplied the paste to the X2's heatsink, but NOT TO THIS ONE. <0> And yet, in all the mounds of rubble in my flat, I do not have a tube of the stuff <3> CJDeak: ur pissed off as well <0> mhm <3> i think my mobo is dead <0> I need thermal paste <3> stores not open there? <0> I can get it free tomorrow at work, <0> AS5 <3> good luck <3> i dont know what to do with my system
<4> What is XP media center does it make the core XP different? <0> No <0> It's just an add on to XP Home that allows you to control your media (movies, pictures and music etc.) from your TV, and makes it easier to interact with a remote <4> Ah sweet <4> i found a decent deal for a computer in best buy this week which i may get <4> i could just upgrade the video card to a x800 gt or a 6800 BFG <4> http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=999949800050007&type=product&productCategoryId=pcmcat18700050010&id=pcmprd50000050007 <4> the rest seems pretty good <4> and it includes a CRT monitor <4> and i may be doing alot of photos movie stuff etc <4> and some gaming <5> easier to build your own <5> and cheaper <1> i cant figure out what is wrong with my box <4> but i have no experiance at all in making my own :/ <1> it says my cpu temp is 65-67C <1> but i can touch my heatsink an it doesnt burn me <1> its not evne that hott <4> i wana learn :/ tho <1> an my stupid floppy drive isnt workingn <1> so i cant flash my bios <4> ghetto drives <1> ya <1> i got the floppy for a joint <1> cause i wanted a black one <1> to go with my black system <4> heh <4> im to young to need a floppy drive <1> LOL <4> im only 15 :/ <1> i got 2 zip drives <4> heh <1> 1 floppy drive <1> 3 dvd writers <1> an a EQ <4> lol wow <4> your not as bad as my friend <4> who found this case that has 8 places to put drives in <6> If you were to design a 1-2 TB storage windows file server, how would you design your system? The system must use RAID so that each HD has a backup in case of failure. Would you try adding all this hardware in 1 PC? Perhaps external USB cases to connect more hard drives? Or would you use professional rackable gear? Or would you use multiple PCs (2 file servers with 1 TB each)? Whats the most cost effective way to setup a reliable b <4> he put in 2 floppys 4 dvds and 2 cds !_! <4> wow <1> lmao <4> 4 gigs of ram plz <1> 2 floppys is undeed <1> thats why i got a zip an a floppy <1> an a external zip <4> he was being arrogant <4> heh <1> i got 4gb of DDR400 <4> jesus christ :P <4> prepairing for the new age early heh <1> naw <1> it just gets me by <1> anyone know what time the game is? <1> i gotta make sure to save enough beer <4> 6 7 or 8 <4> i heard <4> i forget <1> hmm <4> 6 me thinks is correct <1> i should have enough
<1> if i drink slow <1> get a lil buzz on <1> an save the rest til game time <1> i think the steelers are gunna win <1> i played 2 games of madden last night steelers vs seahawks <1> an steelers won <7> hah <4> :P <4> ill do it again later <4> My friend whos a madden noob decided to do full team sim as the pats <4> total control in 06 <4> and he lost to the browns -_- <4> in the wildcard <4> i slapped him upside the head <4> said nice job nub <1> hehe <6> anyone got smart ideas on building 1-2TB file server cheapily with RAID mirrored HDs? Do you think its cheaper to build 2 PCs to get this much storage, or should I look for some sort of profesional-grade equipment? <1> lmao <1> 1pc <1> use raid controller <1> an IDE <1> or SATA <1> cause you can buy promise tech PCI raid controller cards <6> you think its a good idea to run 8 HDs in 1 PC? <1> as long as u have at least a 550w psu <1> what kinda cpu do u have in mind <4> 8 HD's unless you stash a boatload of porn or something <1> you would want something with low power consumption <6> CPU doenst matter. Ill probably get a low powered sempron <1> like a celeron or somethinjg <1> or a duron <1> ya or a sempron <1> dont load it down with a big video card <6> ok, this could work <6> nope, onboard video perferred <1> k <1> an onboard sound <4> ewww semprons <6> I wont have speakers plugged into this <4> this comp im on has a loud celeron :( <1> then use the pci for PCI raid cards <6> its gonna be a headless PC <6> no monitor <1> cool <1> itll work <6> so who makes the best raid cards? <1> Promise Tech <4> are you making a external HD case? <4> or something? <1> no <6> no, Ill put em all in the case <1> hes makeing a server box so to speak <4> ah <6> think I should get HD coolers for HDs to sit in the 5.25 drive slots? <1> it wouldnt hurt <4> so you have a buiness or your running a server for a game? <6> feudel, I rip all my dvds and cds to my file server media machine. I rip in lossless format <6> I need lots of space <4> Ah <4> a big mule sort to speak <6> and I need raid for backup <1> you gunna mirror <6> yes <1> ahh <1> ya youll need alot of space then <6> I dont know of any other cheaper way that is as reliable <1> theres something else <1> but i cnat think of it off hand <4> im about to throw this heavy CRT at my dad <4> hes sitting not 6 feet away from me and hes chew so ****ing LOUD <6> whats he eating? <6> Im hungry <6> I want some alphaghetti <4> chips -_-
