<3> I'm actually concerned about that car... regenerative braking completely fails when there is nowhere for the energy to go. If the battery and capactors are maxed out, the wheels can't brake at all. This wouldn't be an issue normally, but breaking for 10 miles straight as you go down a mountain road could cause problems.

<3> Yes, regenerative brakes CAN'T if the capacitors are full. There are workarounds, like dump-resistors to throw waste energy into, but they can overload too (melt)

<3> They brake by taking the charge from the generator... if the charge goes nowhere (because the caps are full), then the magnetic force stays in the generator... pushing just as much as it pulls, so not slowing it down at all.
