<0> wow <0> mp3 gain is jacked <0> it will not clear the analysis <1> ::drum roll plz:: <0> uninstall <1> <-- was right yet again <2> mp3gain? <0> I changed the normalization volume <0> and told it to rescan <0> and it skipped <0> everything that was previously scanned at a different volume <0> clear analysis doesn't clear **** <0> haha <0> dude, this **** HAS to be stored in the mp3s <0> ahh
<0> it actually changed the files <0> I didn't realize that <0> there is no going back <0> undo didn't undo jack <0> ****ed <2> kae: restore from backups <3> sue the creator of the software <0> this is on a copy of my real files <0> but it's still pretty jacked <3> what software is this? <0> mp3gain <3> ah <3> seems like a good idea <0> poor execution? <1> its a terrible idea <1> and a terrible program <0> curious as to what this 'clipping' is <0> it'd better not be what I think <1> When an amplifier is pushed to create a signal with more power than it can support, it will amplify the signal only up to its maximum capacity, at which point the signal will be amplified no further. As the signal simply "cuts" or "clips" at the maximum capacity of the amplifier, the signal is said to be "clipping." The extra signal which is beyond the capability of the amplifier is simply cut off, resulting in a distorted waveform. <1> clipping results in the sound being ****ty because its highs/lows are out of range <1> mp3gain trys to remove them.. but the result is as i said, muddy and fla <1> flat <1> by taking the average of the high/low <1> and then removing iyt <1> which is why i said if you do anything more thenONE FILE at a time <1> they will sound like **** <1> because no 2 mp3s clip at the same place etc <4> how about <4> rip at the correct levels <5> it's very tricky to remove clipping, because some of the information about the waveform is lost. <6> hi, my trial leads here <4> my turn <5> so the best you can do is guess at the missing data <0> 6, is clipping the process with wich one loses the data? <1> no <1> removing clipping is <0> wtf is clipping? <1> i must be on ignore or something <0> I ***umed 'clipping' is 'clipping' off highs and lows <4> <6> yes it ****ing will, and i'll laugh <1> CLIPPING IS WHEN THE DATA IN THE WAVE FORM GOES OUT OF RANGE (HIGH OR LOW) OF WHAT THE AMPLIPHER CAN CRECREATE <4> <6> bitch <0> murex <0> shill <0> so <0> what does the clipping then? <0> the amp? <1> right <0> so, let the amp determine what it can play, not the mp3 file <1> no no <1> rip the files at a correct level .. which most likely they were <0> ***ume they weren't <0> next step <1> rip the files at a correct leve <3> all this electronical stuff is so confusing <0> they weren't <0> next <1> rip the files at a correct level <1> if they werent, removing clipping etc is very hard to do <1> of for ****s sake <4> <6> ive ****ing made a donation as well
<4> hahaha <3> to remove clipping you'd have to predict the waveform from the context it's in, right? <3> and add the piece that's clipped off? <3> in the proper shape? <1> when you remove it, it results in a big loss of high/low data from the waveform which is very hard to predict, resulting is a hollow/muddy/flat sounding/looking waveform <5> you basically end up applying dynamic compression wherever the waveform peaked. <5> and introducing some randomness to the waveform so it's not all just max/min values. <5> and then you have to rape Murex in his *** <1> :( <4> that cluez guy is going NUTS <5> which basically insures me for $25k of homeowner responsibility damage and $50k for the inevitable special ***essment that has to be done to repair the property. <5> misdirect <5> who? <4> some guy i just kicked <5> oh. is he crying <4> yeah <7> right click on hell <5> poor creature <3> calrk0r, you didn't even ban him did you? <3> it was just a kick <4> i know! <4> <6> i told you ages ago I wasn't after a war, and you made it one. You the piss for like 10 years <5> oh no <5> you the piss :( <4> suddenly my pants feel quite warm and damp <4> OH **** $^$"^ <7> i am a latent cell operative and HAHA I WIN!!!!! <7> lw;kng;leknghw <7> 'hlg;rw <7> 'lghkw <7> rhglkw <7> j/k <4> that's seriously funny <4> 22:25 <6> maybe if you shared some **** with me maybe this hastle would stop <4> 22:26 <6> rather than the cloak and digger approach <4> 22:27 <6> you think I'm a ****ing idiot, I ***ure you I am not <8> COKES AND DIGGERS <4> my god what a tool <9> better than chiggers, I suppose <9> I don't get the 10 year piss thing <4> neither do i <5> i'm notsure what it could mean but it must be bad. <4> maybe it's a curse <5> 10 years of the piss <4> i think trolling #windows2000 will do the trick <6> hi where is the offical freebsd channe <6> l <6> which network? <3> askclark0r <10> maybe the topic didn't give it away <6> nah man, no help <3> do some irc clients hide the topic? <4> cluez: YOU THE PISS FOR 100 YEARS <6> maybe i should mail freebsd <3> he'll piss for 100 years? <11> Mr. Clarke: Taking the piss since 1972 <6> or fbibsd <11> also hi, etc <4> superdan: 1982 actually ;) <4> hi superdan rofl <11> I knew I had at least one of those digits right ;) <4> fbibsd? <4> what is that <6> typo <11> it's the special version the FBI uses <4> does it do hacker tracking n stuff <3> it opens and reads you mail? <6> or isps <11> it includes access to everyone else's email and secret tape-recordings of confidential meetings <4> nice <4> i wanted top secret osama bin laden fotage in /usr/src/cave <11> did they accept your patch? <4> no :( <6> maybe freebsd actually has known vulnerbilities to the coders
