<6> +b *!*@82.196.203.67 <6> oops <5> yay for bnc <3> oh c'mon it was fun <3> chan should review ban policy <6> I'm being a right spaz today <6> He's unbanned in 40 min <3> maybe he was just unsure whether he really wanted to join or not, ya know what i mean? <5> common problem <6> :) <5> intresting, attaching a movie clip > start tween > removeMovieClip(); > attaching it again and the tween inside it is still running and it has been running while it was removed not paused <6> do you wait 1 frame between removing and attaching? <6> or doing it all in same frame? <5> i have three buttons (attach) (start) (remove) <5> im clicking on my own :) <6> def is removing? <5> def? <6> definately <5> yeah well it disappears when i do removeMovieClip <6> Have you got it online? <5> wait <5> www.a4gate.com/timer.swf <5> the buttons (attach) (tween) (remove) <6> Can you put the fla up please too? <6> I know its simple but just want to check <6> doesn't always seem to be the case on your file <9> you guys like Red Devil 3 <5> yeah the script doenst continue so it malfunctions when you remove and attach since the tween continues when it shouldnt <5> the script in the movieclip doesnt continue that is. so when it reappears and the states (_rotation) isnt 0 it won't work as it should <6> Ah <6> You're tweening via code <6> I thougth you meant a regular frame tween <6> The code will keep ruinning yes <5> oh :) <6> As interval probably gets created on root <6> So removing clip doesn't stop code elsewhere <5> ok, well now i know :) <6> If it was a frame based anim it would toally stop <6> totally <5> yeah, makes sense <5> would be good if the tween would have been created where it's scripted so it would be removed when the movieclip is <5> I've been using flash for quite some time now but not so frequent, but what i can say is that flash is very random all the time you can't really logicly figure out what happens you need to have experience :) <10> sounds like you're just not very smart <10> or you have gone about learnign flash in a really ****ty way <5> probably I did i learned flash by doing a complicated project <5> uh i can't type today sorry <10> you should get a good book or somethig <10> i actually felt the same as you many years ago <10> and thought flash was crap to use and id never like it <10> about a year ago i decided id give it another go, and bought a book on flash <10> read it.. followed the tutorials.. such a better grounding then expecting it to be intuitive all the way <6> You're both right <6> Flash can be random still <5> Yeah probably, would be nice but I don't like doing that really :) I've got quite some experience now but some things like this tween things just feels kinda random. <6> I see things monthly that don't make sense <6> But a good book is a good start <5> I'm mainly doing php+xhtml+ajax+mysql+flash, can't really take time to read a book about all of them :) Tried to buy books about MySQL and such but i never read them. <10> comparing flash to other pure coding languages isnt fair <5> yeah, thats why it feels random :) <10> its quite an unusual combination of things <5> php and such mostly makes sense <3> ziper, "can't really logicly figure out what happens you need to have experience :)" agreed <5> :) <6> Yeah, there are bugs in flash that you only know about if you know about <6> If you get me <6> They just seem odd till someone says "bug since 1998" <3> actually flash is somewhat predictable as long as you are doing animation. it's what flash was mostly created for!! <11> They aren't bugs they are features! <3> but once you go beyond that, it starts to surprise you quite often <6> Sorry yeah, must remember that one <12> are there any loops meant to loop arrays in actionscript? <6> JFlash, although what Flash was created for it's evolved to beyond that. One could expect it to work mostly <3> they tryed to sell it to us as a very cool animation format where you have have fun doing scripting but that's just half of the truth <5> I hate that all variables are globals in each movie clip. I would really want them to be isolated in each function
