<0> hmm <1> Cirque Du Soleil was great, as usual :] <1> .wz phz <2> I don't know where phz is. <1> oh <1> lol <1> sorry man <1> Derailed.Unrated.DVDRiP.XViD-DEiTY <1> Downstream: 139.97 KBytes/s Upstream: 43.12 KBytes/s <1> welp, I have a PC in my shop that has a problem I have never seen before :0 <1> boot the SOB up....it runs for a few and then the HD continues to run but everything else shuts down <1> the HD led even continues to burn...but the power led goes out <1> WHAT THE **** <1> :/ <1> Im going to try a new PSU <1> I allready tried unplugging everything from the MB but the PSU....still shuts off
<1> Its either the PSU or the mb/cpu <3> Pentium4e, <3> hi <3> do you have sim city 4 <4> hmm <4> hi Cpuroast/BAF64 <3> hi <3> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16819111178 <1> wtf is it :] <3> intel core duo <3> dual core intel <3> the ones that mac uses <3> you can get it and use it :> <3> JEF <3> do you have sim city 4 <3> and <3> tomorrows my last day of being 15 <1> yes <1> and :] <5> I have SC4+RH. <3> oooh <3> someone send it to me :> <3> SC4 + RH <3> please <1> [08:09pm] <+[BAF64]> you can get it and use it :> <----wrong <3> heh <3> well <3> that + a motherboeard <3> if i had the money i'd build a little server out of a intel core duo <3> actually <3> its socket 478 <1> yeah <3> but you need a board that supports yonah <1> yeah <3> and they are **** expensive <1> CPU Socket: 478 <1> nah <3> yea <1> nah <3> the ones that support yonah are <1> $100 <3> The Yonah socket is still a 479-pin interface, however the pin-out has been changed once more, and of course Yonah wont even physically fit into any current Pentium M motherboards. Instead, youll need a brand new motherboard with a brand new chipset. So if you invested in any of the handful of desktop Pentium M motherboards that were released over the past year, youre unfortunately out of luck. <6> all pentium-Ms are socket 479 <6> BTW <6> :) <3> yea <3> they call it 478 <3> but its 479 <3> While we cant tell you who makes the motherboard were testing with, the important thing to note is that it is a desktop motherboard made specifically for Yonah. Its got a single PCIe x16 slot, meaning you dont have to rely on integrated graphics, and all of the bells and whistles youd expect from a desktop motherboard; this could very well be the heart of your next system. <3> Weve been hearing that Pentium M based desktops will become a lot more common next year, and this motherboard is definitely an indication of that. <3> that was back on november 30 <3> so what can run yonahs these days <6> I wouldn't even bother <6> with conroe on the way <6> who cares <3> http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=89403 <6> who cares about Yonah or Dothan <6> Conroe is comming <6> for desktops <3> pen <3> pe
<3> Pentium4e, <6> no <1> yesir? <6> oh <6> you were talking to Pentium4e <6> I see <3> newegg doestn even have them <1> have what <3> http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=89403 <6> conroe is out Q2 2006 <6> wait <6> :) <3> ^ those are the only yonah compatible boards <3> known <3> Cpuroast, i dont plan on getting one :P <3> how much is conroe going to cost <6> it's replacing mainstream P4s <6> so it can't be that much <3> hm <6> P4 is dead <6> why even bother going with yonah on desktop, conroe is an evolution of yonah, based on the same architecture <6> it's faster <6> and has the same low heat, low power design <6> as yonah <3> hmm <6> and it's made for desktops <6> so you don't have to scavenge trying to find unique hard to find motherboards <6> that are produced in very little numbers <6> merom for laptops, conroe for desktop and woodcrest for servers, Intel Core Architecture is about to hit <6> and it's going to hit AMD hard <6> :) <1> [BAF64]: I seen the estimates on conroe $ someplace....its not bad <1> many levels <6> it's not going to be like some special chip, sold in small quantities <6> it's going to be M*** produced <6> it <1> works for me <1> ill need it for vista :P <6> it's the replacement for the netburst arch <6> so they need to produce tons of em :) <3> hmm <6> I think even at the moment, they've probably slowed down the p4 production, or possibly even halted it <1> yeah well <3> i dbout halted <6> fine <6> slowed down <6> alot <3> k <6> :) <3> alot yea <3> but i dont see them halting it <6> they need chips <6> in between now and conroe <3> prolly not for a little bit after conroe is out <3> i bet there will be a little period where they have both <6> I don't see why they would bother producing P4s <6> when people will buy conroe instead <1> thats like saying why produce celeron <1> :> <6> I think Intel's best interest is to sell all the remaining stock <6> as fast as possible <6> and produce as little as possible <6> before conroe pops up <3> anyway <3> gnight <6> if they don't <3> they dont then what <6> they'll have to serious slash the price <6> of the remaining p4s <6> seriously <3> hmm <6> to get rid of them <1> perhaps P4 will be come the new "celeron" <6> nah
