<1> procedure TForm1.Panel1MouseDown(Sender: TObject; Button: TMouseButton; Shift: TShiftState; X, Y: Integer);
<1> begin
<1> ReleaseCapture;
<1> Perform(WM_NCLBUTTONDOWN, HTCAPTION, 0);
<1> end;
<2> I've always preferd hittest. :)
<2> Mostly just because that's the first way I ever saw to do it.

<4> VIRUS (HTML.Phishing.Pay-156) IN MAIL TO YOU (from <support@notifications.email.paypal.com>)
<1> phishing is phun
<4> I don't even get the emails
<4> just the virus emails from amazvisd
<5> I got a pretty clever one the other day.
<5> Instead of the usual "please update your account info" crud, it looked like a message sent through ebay... "I bought the item from you 2 weeks ago and still haven't received it. Please tell me what's going on or I'll report you to ebay!"
<5> With a "click here to reply to this message." link.
<5> Pretty creative.
<3> If you sell items yes
<6> that's an old 100 pose ?
<3> Nah, 2002 A6 3.0 Q/TIP
<6> i mean A6
<2> wow, that's one steep hill ;)
<3> yeah it's the old A6
<6> not a bad car in fact
<6> Diesel I supposed ?
<6> -d
<3> Nope, they sold the TDI 2min. before I entered the shop
<3> and I was in need of a new car before the weekend
<6> gee
<6> 3.0 must do 12-15 liter / 100
<3> yep
<6> (km)
<3> in the cities
<3> long distance is about 8-10/100
<6> that remind me, I had the new M5 last weekend
<3> and I can tune it down if I want to
<6> 21 l / 100
<3> hehe
<6> to fill the tank like 90 EUR
<6> and you are ok for 300-350 KM
<3> hehe
<3> friend of mine had a BMW something V8 5l, he had top sell it because of the fuel prices

<6> I spent 200 EUR *only* in petrol
<6> anyway it was fun
<3> I looked at the Q7 today, it was HUGE
<7> Hello all.
<3> Didn't like it
<6> yeah I dont like it
<6> it looks like a bus
<3> yep
<6> I have an A3 personally
<6> 2.0 TDI
<3> I was actually on my way to buy the Avensis 2.4 4-D4
<3> but they couldn't deliver untill august
<3> so I started looking at used Audis instead
<3> never tried the A3, but only difference is length ?
<3> compared to the A4 ?
<6> yes
<6> compared to A6 the diff is huge
<3> yep so it would be to small for me anyway
<6> A3 is much smaller (inside)
<3> With one wife, one kid, a new kid in november and several 500km family trips each year
<6> get rid of the wife and you get back a whole seat!
<3> haha
<3> I hope to get rid of the ski-box this time
<3> since Wilma is still breading
<3> First time we traveled, she packed so much garble in the car I had second thoughts
<3> it was full of useless items
<3> I had one bag with my clothes and gizmos, the rest of the car was her stuff and nice to have stuff
<6> :)
<7> LordCrc: That ReleaseCapture thing is pretty cool
<8> Hrm. Does ShellExecute change the current directory? I'm getting some Bad Behavior where it seems to be doing that and I don't want it to....
<9> you can define the starting directory.. dunno what happens with nil there
<9> or do you mean for the application you run it from?
<8> I'm setting it to '' (not nil)
<8> None of the documentation says anything about that changing to the application directory....
<8> I'll try nil instead and see if that works. If not maybe '.' will work.
<8> The problem boils down to the program I'm calling puts stuff in the wrong place (I need it to work with the calling app's directory and files)
<9> nil will just use whatever is current, i guess
<8> I'll try it. I'm just not optimistic.
<9> but are you saying that the current dir for your app that runs shellexecute changes ?
<9> or the current dir for the app you are starting?
<8> the current dir for the app I'm starting.
<8> The app I'm starting is the online updater which has its own directory. The result is the updater saves all the update files and such to its own directory and not the calling app's dir. Since it can, and does, update multiple apps, it's required I get it to work in the original directory.
<7> Say after i do a ListBox1.Perform(WM_NCLBUTTONDOWN, HTCAPTION, 0); .. how can i get its new coords ?
<9> Mjolnir: did you try sending it the current directory explicitly?
<9> e.g. getcurrentdirectory or whatever that api is
<7> Like on TForm1.ListBox1MouseUp
<8> ootje - I'll try that, but since I'm trying for a generic update I'd prefer not to. But that'll probably get me out of this particular jam.,
