<0> anyone here write plugins? <1> plugins for what? <2> if I p*** a function pointer into a dll... can the dll call it? <3> yes <2> ootje: for programs you wrote. <3> dll <3> dlls and the exe live in the same process <2> thanks. <1> DaynaWrkn: right. yes :) i wrote some silly little interface-based plugin thing inspired by hydra hehe <1> DaynaWrkn: notice winapi like EnumWindows uses a callback pointer like that <2> *nod* <2> I wanna p*** in a function that does Registering... <2> so it can register more than once... <2> for more than one event like... <4> Hello DaynaWrkn <1> like c#'s += operator for events then :p
<2> hey Mjolnir did nahemia talk to you about transparent flash/ <2> ? <4> A bit yesterday. <4> Did you talk to him after I did? <2> he was wondering if you had a bunch of experience with writing custom paint routines specially those involving UpdateLayeredWindow <5> hey dayna <2> heya rahly. <6> heh working at a gear store was my calling i think heh <5> whats going on? <6> rahly! dayna all <5> cmf! <4> I've certainly written custom paint routines.... <5> and? <6> guy comes in today and looks at headlamps and i'm showing him one and he's like "i dont really like it" and i said "well.. i took that on on everest and it performed beyond my expectations!" <6> and he's like "MOUNT everest?" <2> Mjolnir: did you get an IM from him today? <6> and i'm like "ya.." and i told him a few stores about it and he bought 3 <6> haha <4> Don't see one.... <5> well its also noted that only top level windows can be "layered" <7> cmf: Amazing how that works. <2> cmf: now if you can get around asking if they want fries with that. <7> Did you tell him that you didn't summit? <6> vibes: yes <6> heh <7> That makes it sound bad. <6> i told him hehe <7> I should say "did you tell him that you weren't attempting the summit?" <6> hahah <6> i didnt tell him that <6> =D <6> i just said we got half way up <6> 5100m / 8800m is more than half way <2> Mjolnir: hmmm. maybe he decided against asking for your help with our little issue. <6> course <7> ANY climb on Everest is impressive, IMO.. Summit attempt or not. <6> depending on where you consider the START from <6> some people dont think the climb starts until base camp <4> Well, I didn't have AIM running. <6> which is at 5300m <1> so you went down? <4> He did ask on IRC if I was here, but nothing about having any additional problems. <4> So he was looking for me. <6> down? <4> Once my phone activation is complete, I can check to see if he left voicemail. <2> Mjolnir: he's having a break... I'll let him know you're available... if you are? <4> I am <4> I sent him a message to that effect, but his IRC client died. <1> cmf: if it starts at 5300 and you were at 5100 <1> or was that the summit <6> summit is 8800 <6> highest i went was 5100 <2> k. I told him... <6> base camp is at 5300 <4> Ok. I need to do a couple of things here. <4> Friday. Need to go by the bank,. <6> sea level is 0 <6> :P <2> Mjolnir: I know that feeling. <4> Well, I will be putting money in as well as getting some cash <2> I went online to check my balance... found my $1475 deposit from 2 days ago wasn't in my acct...
<4> Closes in like 40 minutes, so lemme get onto that. <2> called the bank... they'd put it in someone else's acct. <7> cmf: Personally, I think the beginning of the climb is wheels down at Lukla. <2> k. <4> I've had that happen once <6> vibes: that's the easy way <4> This shouldn't take long - bank is only 10 minutes away <6> we started in Jiri <2> I told him an hour or so. <6> took us like 15 days to hike up to lukla <4> Grrr. I'd be available by phone but both batteries are flat. <7> Just think... if a plane crashed at Lukla, that's how long it would take them to find you. :) <4> Was in an area where it couldn't keep in contact with the tower so i ran down the battery fast. <6> haha a plane crashed the day before <4> The usual connect/disconnect until dead. <6> while i was on the trail <6> and i saw the wreckage <6> it his Lamjura P*** on the way to lukla <6> and i happened to be right beside lamjura p*** the next day <7> Ouch. <6> only 2 guys died <7> Can't think of a worst place to blow an approach. <7> Yuck. <6> nope <2> I watched a plane crash once... <6> scary as hall taking off too <2> not a fun thing to witness. <7> Maybe the old Kai-Tak, but that's not in operation any more. <7> DaynaWrkn: I've seen three. Wierd statistic for my 26 years. <6> i bet in some planes you could take off from lukla without a motor =D <7> Probably... I bet a little light aircraft could pick up enough speed just rolling down the slope. <7> Did you leave from Lukla? <6> yes <6> waited for 5 days for that flight <6> spent my birthday in lukla <6> by myself <6> with a mickey of rum <6> which my guide gave me <6> for my birthday <7> haha <6> but he had typhoid <7> How nice of him. <6> so he didnt join me <6> hehe <6> http://philouducannet06.canalblog.com/images/lukla.jpg <6> awesome picture <6> hah <6> there's a place <6> near Lobuche <6> which would be perfect for an airport <6> but <7> That is a good picture. <6> it would destroy all the business to lukla and namche <6> they still consider it though <7> I wonder if anyone has ever attempted a takeoff or landing the opposite direction of normal. <7> That'd be pretty cool to watch. <6> lol <6> i'd guess it would be next to impossible <7> I don't think the landing would be possible, but something like an F15 might be able to do the takeoff. <6> ya <6> i'm sure take off <6> http://www.christrips.com/nepal2004/3/yaks.jpg <6> they could easily make an airpor tthere <6> nice and flat for over a mile <2> the airport in Castlegar, BC is used by airlines to practice difficult take offs and landings... it too is right up against a bowl of mountains coming together... planes have to fly towards the mountain and make a banking u turn while decending to get onto the runway. <6> is it a flat runway? <6> or is it diagonal? <7> DaynaWrkn: Never heard of that one. I'll have to check it out... I love flying these challenging approaches in flight simulator. <2> all commercial runways in canada are flat I believe. <7> I've eaten dirt at Lukla a couple times. :) <6> vibes: haha <6> you fly irl? <7> cmf: Fly yes. <7> Land, no. :)
