<1> How do i force destory thread if its stuck
<1> seems it makes freeandnil() to get stuckked to
<0> stuck?
<0> do you have bad code?
<1> Nope
<1> sql code.
<0> huh?
<1> SQLExecDirect(handle, pchar(command), length(command));
<1> the function stucked the code after executed
<0> congrats
<1> stucks*
<1> not my fault, i tryd execute it the command in another thread, then free it
<1> get me ?
<1> so it will not stuck the main code
<0> because freeing the thread waits until the thread exits

<1> So what is the solution ?
<0> wait until the thread exits?
<1> but it will not exit
<1> do you have any suggestion to offer mate
<1> i am sure there is a way to force quit thread
<0> you could forcefully terminate the thread before freeing, but thats a sign of bad coding ;-)
<1> terminate?
<1> I mean
<1> there is loop while not terminated..
<1> so it waits aswell
<1> not force
<0> i have no idea what you are talking about or how it pertains to terminating a thread
<1> let me try explain
<0> if you can
<1> As far i know .terminate is boolean value inside a thread. as far i know you need inside loop (ef while not terminated) to make that work ? you p*** trye from out side, then the loop inside quits ? what i am trying to say, it doesnt do anything then setting a value ? not like it force terminating the thread
<0> correct
<0> its called terminating gracefully
<1> Since the code stucks the loop, there is no use .. right ?
<0> probably should use better code
<1> Well
<1> tryd to use newer lib. but nothing fixs that.
<1> and i know, i hate that code
<1> very terrible
<0> weeeeeeeeeee
<0> so fun
<1> :|
<1> Rahly, are you american ?
<0> why?
<2> ya
<3> hi again.

<3> my point was they weren't hacked.
<3> they were domain jumped.

<12> how can i get the color calue of a color so I can specific they value as a constant...

<13> ColorToIdent IdentToColor
<4> he's gone already.
<14> i am running D7 on two monitors (one is etended onto the other). recently everytime i bring up the Object inspector it comes up on the wrong monitor so i drag it bqack where i want it and save my desktop settings but it wont stay put aaaargh!!
<15> it's a bug of d7
<15> try d2006
<4> drag it where you want it.
<0> it is?
<4> and save the desktop
<0> i've never had that problem, and i always use d7
<4> you probably deleted the dsk file
<4> so it put it back in the default position.
<14> on the (left) main display i have all my forms and the object inspector. on the (right) display i have the .pas files and the explorer and treeview
<16> Make sure the dsk file exists, and isn't read only. Make sure you're saving window positions.
<14> ok here's what happens..i get it setup like i want right..then i press F9..it runs my app, then when i exit and the ide comes back up the object inspctor has moved to the right display.
<16> Like I said.
<14> ok im looking
<4> did you save the desktop?
<14> yes
<4> worked for me.
<4> I use D6 and D2006... I only had this problem once.
<4> I deleted the dsk file for the project
<4> and recreated it.
<4> by saving the desktop
<14> seems to be working now
<14> i created a new desktop file
<14> before i was arranging things and saving it to an existing filename and perhaps it was corrupt
<17> aloha
<17> stop it, I like it
<17> how's it?
<0> it?
<0> its.... good?
<17> it, as in life life
<17> er only 1 life
<0> alright i guess
<0> getting ready for sleep
<17> fair enough. I just started working
<17> been running round the city doing stuff this morning
<0> ahhh
<0> its morning for me too
<0> 12:30am
<17> hey daedo
<17> I hear your the D7 on Vista expert
<18> not d7, d2006
<17> oh
<17> never mind then
<18> http://www.drbob42.com/examines/examin84.htm
<17> tnx
<17> think I might test in a VM :)
<18> have fun
<18> i love vista
<17> I detect sarcasm
<18> hope you enjoy it, let me know if you have any non-d7 oriented questions
<18> no i really do
<17> oh ok
<18> i've been using it as a primary os since rc1
<17> I'm undecided.
<18> depends on each person
<17> still too many popups in the VM copy I installed yesterday
<17> but like it or not, it's the future
<18> well, i turned that off for a while
<17> I think I'll probably do that
<18> you can disable that uac by clicking start and then the your profile image
<17> I was just testing one of my apps in it yesterday for a customer
<18> i recently had to turn it back on, for quickbooks 2007 sdk to function under vista it has to be enabled
<18> and its not bad once everything is installed and running
