<5> nagual: Windows has it. In windows, Right-click the task bar, add a folder. Then, double-click the handle for the folder, and it collapses to a chevron which opens to all subfolders, recursively. Similar to the Programs menu. Also, there's an option to view the My Documents folder, etc. as a submenu from the Start menu.
