<0> I'm not all that up on pentium stuff, but as far as I know, the 800series is 2 cores slapped together, that commuicate thru the fsb, the 900 series is still 2 cores slapped together but they communicate thru cache on die, core and core 2 are new architectures, but I dont know the differences.
