<0> nasty little thigns <1> they're harmless <0> we considered them the incarnet of all things evil <0> and we blamed them for everything <1> and fun to play with <0> littl eguys were fast though <1> they make little barking noises <0> always had a hole to hide in we could never find <0> I mostly seent hem when up in cimeron <0> I was mountian climbing at the time <1> should take it up again <0> I should too <1> not many mountains in MI though <0> we used to figure the higher the altitude the more evil they became <1> unless they haven't been discovered yet <0> we used to call them mini bears
<0> we have mountains <0> but they are all up the UP <1> wasn't there some movie or book about animals that become psycho at higher altitudes <0> ircon mountain is a name of a town..guess what its close to <1> so all these zombi killer animals came down from the mountains <0> ircon* <0> iron* <0> anyhwo the prarie dogs (mini-bears) were alot like racoons in michigan...cunning little guys <0> always looking to find a way to get at your good <0> food* <0> smart too <1> aye <0> they would try to work as a team to get what they wanted <0> thats why we called them evil incanrate <1> did they ever do that stair formation you see in cartoons? <0> anyhow in that area they were considered pests <1> they are most anywhere <0> when I was up in cimeron we hiked in on a so called highway <0> the thing was a dirt road next to the cimeron river <0> I think it was the cimeron river...seems tome everything there was named that <0> anyhow we eventualy got upt o arounf 14,000 ft before we were finished <0> the highest I have ever climed <2> why would my monitor not let me set my resolution to 640x480? <3> hey matre, whatever happened to Calista Flockhart? <0> Darn: can you go higher or lower? <4> Upgraded <0> what resolution is it allowing you to get to? <4> she ate something <0> hi flyBED <0> your always helpful..know anything about getting a cisco 2950 to stop eating my dhcp packets? <2> only higher <2> I'm at 1280x1024 right now <2> but it wont go down to 640x480 <4> no I don't sorry I never dealt with routing really <0> Darn: so you can get 800x600 but not 640x480 then? <2> yea <0> flyBED: well its not a router <0> its a switch <0> no routing involved...I thought it would p*** things along like any hub might <1> troopa: you need w4ck1ng/wiki <0> but for some reason its eating allt he packets to 255.255.255.255 <4> kib wtf <0> Darn: well that is dd...since 640x480 should be the default safe mode resolution <0> flyBED: I said its a switch not a router <4> mabye your dhcp server is making invalid packets <4> and the switch is just auto blocking them <4> as garbage <4> I dunno otherwise <0> flyBED: its the dcpclient who is sending them..dhcp server isnt even getting the request <1> 14,000 is the highest peak in NM <0> but dhcp clients send to 255.255.255.255 <4> http://lawandorder.haveabanana.net/hennessy/jill86.jpg <--- i'd like to *CANUCK* that canuck! and her twin sister too! <0> until something replies <4> well switches don't deal with ip <4> so it has to be a mac problem <0> I know they dont <0> but for some reason its not p***ing these <1> everything is Mac's fault. <0> when I use s udpping program I find the switch islistening and replying on port 67 (dhcp port) <0> but I dont know why <1> the reason Microsoft is in power... Mac
<0> Raccoon: actually I blame microsoft for mac <0> and myproblem doesnt invovle either mac or microsoft...this is a pxe boot system with no os installed looking for a dhcp server running on freebsd with a cisco 2950 switch in between <4> kib oh! <4> is it a managed switch? <5> 'where the men are boys, the women are men, and the boys are fbi agents' <5> IRC =D <0> flyBED: only managed by me...but I dont know alot about cisco <0> I know they cost alot to buy <4> no dude <5> either i'm blind and cant see, or limewire is retarded for not allowing me to specify my public ip <4> maganed switch = has intelligence <4> you can make the ports not see each other and only see only certain other ports etc <4> block mac stuff etc <0> well its a cisco 2950...I would have to call cisco and ask them <0> but yes it can block macs, ips and ports <4> managed can also do some ip stuff <0> but I have no fitlers in place for such things <0> its ctually not blocking them but its accepting them <0> its only affecting broadcast though <0> not unicast <5> yo, you know that opensource is more than just about programming? they made a fuken 'open source' cola called Opencola, with a public GPL licensed recipe <5> thats fuken nuts <0> its eating all the broadcast packets <4> mabye you shouol try resetting the config to defaults anyways <0> DVS01: son you spent too much time on google for your own good <5> haha <5> wikipedia =D <5> theres also an opensource beer <0> even worse <5> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vores_%C3%98l <5> hahahaha <0> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikiality try that <5> that kicks *** =D <0> even better try ED <0> http://www.encyclopediadramatica.com/index.php/Main_Page <0> better and more entertaining information there <0> flyBED: well resetting it to defaults would basically kill my network <0> the defaults would close all thep orts and undo all thespeed limiters <0> but I have made no settings concerning broadcast <0> so by default the cisco is eating them <5> kib thats a funny site <5> wtf <5> protected deleted.. thats gay <0> ED > wiki <5> not as useful <5> although funny <5> and very opinionated <5> goddamnit limewire is such an idiot client <6> I'VE HAD IT WITH ALL THESE MOTHER****ING SNAKES ON THE MOTHER****ING PLANE! <7> how do i test to see if my cpu is good on a laptop <0> so anyone know about how to get my cisco 2950 to allow broadcash dhcp messages? <6> johnnyjoe: what? <0> broadcast* <0> johnnyjoe: power it on <6> kib: it does by default <6> you cant turn that off <0> johnnyjoe: it it doesnt power on your cpu might be bad <0> Idle`: well for some reason when I pink upd port 67 on 255.255.255.255 it gets a reply from somewhere but I dont know where <0> even though I disabled the dhcp ont he freebsd system <0> the only IP on my entire block that answers on port 67 when I ping ips individually is my ip on the cisco <6> .... <7> let me explain my prob. I start my laptop and when it starts to load windows, my computer turns off. I can go to safe mode fine. When i go into my bios and slow down my processor, the problems worse and my laptop shuts off after about 10 seconds <0> and no matter what I do none of my dhcp clients can reach the freebsd system acting as my dhcp server <6> kib: few things respond to UDP pings... <6> kib: even static? <0> johnnyjoe: if youc an get into safe mode but not normal mode I would begin looking at your device drivers <0> Idle`: well Id ont know why the dhcp messages never make it to my dhcp server <0> the only thing in between is a cisco 2950 <6> kib: did you try static IP addreses? <0> but nothing replies on port 67 but the cisco IP and the 255.255.255.255 <0> Idle`: pxe cant use static IP addresses <0> I mean where woud you set them <6> I dont care
