<Akuma> If the virus is there, and the procedure to implement it in the system is done then either way, you are ****ed no matter if you are aware of it or not

<Akuma> And that is by locking it so that no data can be written to it

<Akuma> If no data can be copied, written or deleted to it, then no virus can multiply or write itself on to your external harddrive
<Akuma> It's like trying to infect a DVD disc.
<Akuma> But, if you already have the virus in your external HDD then you are ****ed either way, no matter hwat you do to te harddrive - unless you clean it/low level format it
