<0> I have to agree on that. <0> Which might overtip the choice to their favour. <0> However when it comes to laptops. <0> I wouldn't chose that. <1> Right, that seems to be their market. <0> What is the budget for the laptop? <1> Under $1k. <2> back from smoking <0> Wind0: You can buy an ASUS laptop for that <2> w00t <2> halfbaked done <2> fuken online store sent me the wrong pink phone faceplates <2> i was getting for my gf <2> wrong model of phone they sent it for <2> =/ <2> idiots

With a desktop it's not an issue for me but I'm helping a novice pick out a laptop. Not something that's as easily worked on and support will be important if needed. <0> My experience will DELL support is that they are quite incompetent and unreliable <0> And that whenever something is wrong with the hardware you are required to ship it - for your own cost - to their repair stations that can be far away. <1> Not sure if I'm up to trying to persuade someone to buy a brand that isn't mainstream; plus I haven't worked with ASUS laptops myself. If it was a personal purchase I would definitely consider it though. <4> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNqjVGhn-ng <5> we are a dell parner at work <5> so far I like dell laptops <4> wtf <0> The 4 times I've shipped faulty DELL hardware, they've always brought it back unfixed and that the hardware goes back to its former broken state in less than a month. <6> ****in oh <4> flyback you've been damn'd <6> i hate being short <4> no no NO NOT DELL!!! <4> why dell <1> Takuma: Well I think between you and waiting on hold with Dell tech support for the last hour (I think I'll go buy a new power supply instead) the case is made for HP here. <0> Indeed. <5> stfu bitchnuck <4> jk's <4> hows your day <1> Takuma: they're not shipping you new hardware first ?? <5> ok <5> just woke up 2:30pm <7> yo <5> gotta try to rebuild a dell gx150 FROM BAre parts before tomarrow <5> for sister for bday presdent <7> sweet <5> celeron 600 for now <5> but getting a p3 700 cpu from work <7> linux? <5> no wk <5> 2k <5> right now she has a k6-2 450 with a via mvp3 chipset and it ****s canucks <5> nothing I can do to help it anymore\ <7> why not some simple distro for your sister <7> lol <5> because I am too behind in linux right now to do that <7> with fluxbox or something <5> mabye in the future as I get back into it <7> low on resources <7> just put xubuntu everything will run fine easy gui <7> drivers are already set <5> not an option for now <7> has firefox open office <7> :X <4> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uoznd9EMQYs <4> this guy hilarious <4> ;P <5> I gotta try one more time to fix this k6-2 box for someone <5> but it's not looking good unless a whole keyboard and ps/2 mouse connector transplant fixes it <4> whats wrong with it? <5> keyboard randomly fizzles out <5> if I wiggle the plug it comes back on <5> yes I tried resoldering all the jkoints <4> flyback check the 5 volt line <4> else its just the damn plug <4> but I had that issue on that one mobo that turned out it was the 5volt line that was ****ed:P <4> ps/2 port though <4> dunno what your dealing with:P <5> pc ****s
