<13> p4's Fastest at what? Not OVERALL. AMD has overall been faster and more diverse. P4 were all candied up for encoding appz that were SPECIFICALLY optimized for the architecture and supported HT... Clock for clock (the real measure) AMD has dominated and shown to be superior.
