<4> anyone have a good method for user defined triggers? meaning, i have a system that i want users to be able to do things when data is updated, etc in the database, which usually means triggers, but i don't want normal users to have access directly to the database

<6> I want to dump my database (its a postgresql database, but i think the routine is the same in MySQL) PG_DUMP from my php file to a .sql file on the server. It runs the command but it doesnt dump the database. It just returns an empty file. What to do?
