<0> hi again.. when i ftp into my box none of the files in my userid dir are there
<0> but if i telnet into the box they are there.. does anyone happen to know why ?
<1> jz, ftp is chroot'd or jailed to another directory
<2> depends on your ftpd too
<3> hello
<3> how can tell me how i can remove the patition of linux and create new one
<3> wit fdisk?
<1> I'll be happy if ssh would run on DSLinux.. but I'll have to wait until I get my DS.
<4> now that's geeky
<1> No carrying around an Apple laptop at a Gaming convention is geeky.
<4> ?
<1> the DS can p*** me off as a gamer and not a computer geek. :)
<4> how so
<4> h
<4> ah

<4> fair enough
<1> wonder if I should email Blizzard and request a World of Warcraft client.
<4> email them and demand a cut of their profits
<4> wow is such a cash cow
<5> hai, ayu
<1> oh no.. WoW is what will be paying for new Diablo/Starcraft games.
<4> if they ever make diablo/starcraft games
<1> Sadly they are starting up Diablo development first. :/
<4> wow is making more per month than diablo/starcraft evermade
<1> Besides, Blizzard has shown their willingness to add ****loads of content for the $15 a month.
<1> They are.
<1> Diablo III was discussed and that business group is already formed and coding.
<4> they should make starcraft II
<4> heh
<4> sc > *
<1> Remember when WoW came online that division ate up Blizzard North and Blizzard South since they had no clue that an Online RPG would take that much manpower to support.
<1> I like starcraft.
<1> The Warcraft III expantion minigame was great as well.
<4> oh yeah
<4> with rexxar!
<4> heh
<4> i'm a zerg
<4> but lately ive been diversifyign
<1> Zerg are a hard race to play, but I've seen friends of mine really play them well. They **** in terms of mix defences.
<4> zerg are only good at early game
<4> early to mid
<4> if zerg hasnt pwnd opposition by late game, they're ****ed
<1> Since the creap just eats land and you can't put anything by mobile units on it.
<3> after i try to fdisk
<3> what i type?
<3> fdisk -l /dev/hda1
<3> ?
<3> or how?
<4> protoss has some tight units though
<3> ?
<3> a
<4> templars, arbiters, and corsairs
<4> :D
<4> looove!
<3> hei
<3> how i can remove a partition
<4> LcS, use cfdisk
<4> easier for you'
<3> ok
<3> }{
<6> it would be: /sbin/fdisk /dev/hda
<7> protos is an expensive race to develop ..
<6> fdisk -l just lists the partitions
<6> read the manpage for fdisk
<1> my mainstay is the Proton Canons and Carriers for defences with an observer a bit ways out to extend the range of my air ship attack and the seige tanks if they come.
<1> In my prime I could have carriers in around two minutes.
<1> I had the timing down for building and defneding.
<7> why cant civilization 4 be as lite a starcraft
<7> -a
<8> Routermen: Because civilization is a turn-based strategy game, where starcraft is realtime.
<1> I've seen a friend of mine perfect the "rush" form for Protoss.. And that is just a lovely thing to see.
<9> my mainstay is get 6 pairs of EVs, a pair of Mackeys and Crowns, and blast some of those CSPN Congressional debates along your perimeter. No one in his/her right mind would DARE penetrate that line of defense :)
<4> nibble, and owdid you survive a zerg rush?
<4> i dnt like using carriers in multiplayer games

<4> unless it's late game
<7> additional supply depot required
<7> hehe
<1> Depends on how fast... there is a large hole in my defence right at the start.
<7> i just love seeing my friend's face when suddenly out of the blue .. comes the announcement " nucklear lunch detected "
<4> nukes are a waste of money
<1> 12 carriers if controlled and watch will just cut a path through any defence.
<4> ghosts are too easy to detect
<7> i have a fail save procedure when deploying terran ghosts ..
<4> and what's that?
<7> bring more than 2
<1> but my use tends to be defence. Two Canons, two carriers, two siege tanks and an observer makes for a great outpost slightly off a major trail.
<7> and spread them out
<10> iyi geceler / good night
<1> Only issue is human nukes.. and that is again management issue in knowing where they can come from and killing the ghost ASAP.
<4> Routermen, that doesnt help you when you've already launched your nuke and the guy then pwns your ghost
<4> unless you have more than 1 nuke launching at once
<11> is the concept of a simple iptables howto too bizzare to even think of?
<4> InitHello, crazy land.
<1> the game I **** at really badly now is Warcraft II.
<4> nobody plays war2 anyore though
<4> heh
<4> i clocked that baby years ago
<12> I've been paying earth 2160
<1> I was playing that with a friend a few months ago and had forgotten the whole dynamics of the game.
<4> those casters kick the most *** in warcraft2
<4> blizzard!
<7> its like riding a bike .. u'll tend to forgot a thing or two after so long .. but its not that hard to recall all the peripherals
<4> and palidans
<1> in regards to Civ4.. I just want a patch to do correct play-by-email, and not round-robin-p***-me-file style :/
<4> man, priests + palidans and knights must piss a lot of people off
<4> jblack_, what type of game is that
<1> funny thing is in WoW I play on the horde side.. In WC2 I always played the horde.
<1> last night I started an Orc Rogue.
<7> i bought narutoment 3 today .. for ps2 .. load of crap id tell ya
<12> mulder: rts, 4 races
<1> and learn it is called "Button Mash Style" of game play.=)
<7> i always wanted to play WOW .. but i'm a cheapskate and wouldnt wanna pay for online games .. lol ..
<7> ever heard of rhino linux ?
<7> it runs on ps2
<1> BTW I bought the DS as a gaming platform. =-) If I can remove carrying my laptop to check email remotely it would be a bonus.
<0> what is the main difference beween bash and ksh please? sed, awk etc.. works the same on both?
<1> jzakhem, bash is free. ksh wasn't always free.
<1> sed and awk are not shell utilitise
<1> so yes. they also work the same in csh, tcsh, zsh, and sh
<0> what would you call sed and awk.. and on what do they depend if not on the shell?
<1> those are programs. they are separate programs from the shells
<0> 10x sir
<13> one zero ex, retard.
<1> you're welcome jzakhem
<12> this game is weird. I'm cloning to make new units
<14> I'm trying to setup a tftp server. The client machines are able to download from it but are unable to send new files to it. Anybody know how I can get the tftp server to accept new files?
<15> WizCraker: I don't think tftp servers can recieve, only send.
<15> hence the t, trivial.
<6> they can receive
<1> Wiz, create a zero-length file on the tftp server first with a mode of 666
<1> and then you will be able to write to it
<14> nibble: so you mean zero-length as in an empty file?
<1> Wiz, yes
<1> it can be any length actually.
<16> I have a SpeedLink Medusa 5.1 USB headset and I want to set up my Teamspeak client... which device is ALSA using? /dev/dsp is my Turtle Beach Santa Cruz
<16> can someone help because it's really starting to annoy me
<0> I am trying to find lines that start with 1...-, and replace that with -1...- how to do it?
<14> Nibble, thanks. let me try it out.
<1> jzakhem, cat file | sed "s/1...-/-&/"
<17> bye guys
<0> thank you nibble
<1> np
<16> no ideas anyone?
<14> okay so makeing a zero-length file in tftpboot directory with a mode of 666 didn't help with able to send files. I get the following error, Error Opening tftp://<ip address>/filename-backup no such file or directory.
<1> Wiz, are you sure you created the file in the right place?
<1> wherever your tftpboot directory is? ;o
<14> nibble: yes I created the file inside the tftpboot directory.
