I currently have three water traps (coalescing filters) in the system, and between them and the compressor's tank, drain about a cup of water an hour from the system... and I still get water in my paint, tools, and everything else.

<7> small-size dessicant filters are useless, as they "fill up" within a few MINUTES... enough to get a coat of paint on, but not useful for tools... big regenerating filters are huge amounts of money... so a refridgerated dryer seems like the best choice, but they're expensive too.
