<1> It works on the network I use, so it's on your end.
<0> in the terminal when i press enter it takes the windows to a new line and I have a flashing cursor
<2> I'm using beryl svn I installed ati drivers, everything OK, I run beryl svn in gdm no problem, but when I try to run it on kdm it crashs, I created 2 session , one xgl-gnome and xgl-kde, I can't run beryl svn on kde :| it says Aiglx
<3> don't use Xgl
<2> but I've have an Ati x700 just works with xgl
<2> in gnome beryl works fine but in kde no, thats the problem
<3> right, the problem is Xgl
<3> use AIGLX
<3> Xgl doesn't support KDE
<3> AIGLX might
<4> hello..
<4> how to hack my isp?
<5> get a big axe

<1> edanezep870volt: You'll need a hatchet and a strong arm.
<4> so?
<1> Yes.
<4> ok,thank you very much
<1> No problem.
<6> oO
<5> ... and what will happen when it discharges
<5> man, my google-fu is off today :/
<7> klb: heh. go google me a good deal on an air dryer. :)
<5> as in, "dry something using air" or as in "my air is too humid, I need to dry it out"
<8> hiya furrywolf
<1> I would imagine he needs to dry the air in the compressed air system. Possibly for painting purposes.
<7> klb: my air is too humid, I need to try it out. :)
<7> p3nguin: exactly
<7> I live on the coast, in a rainforest. the humidity rarely drops below 95%. I currently have three water traps (coalescing filters) in the system, and between them and the compressor's tank, drain about a cup of water an hour from the system... and I still get water in my paint, tools, and everything else.
<5> damn
<1> I have the same troubles with tools, but I don't paint.
<1> It really ****s getting oily water flying out the exhaust port of an air ratchet or die grinder.
<7> I don't paint often either... mostly it's the tools. using, say, my air drill, water literally drips out the back the entire time I'm using it...
<7> and I have to make sure to run a good squirt of oil through my tools when I'm done using them, or they rust and lock up...
<1> Humidity is 23% today; sounds like it would be a good time for me to use the air tools. :)
<5> I still can't figure this out
<1> Of course it's 24 degrees, so any water might freeze.
<7> humidity is only 88% today according to the weather report, but I don't trust it, since the nearest weather station is two towns over and not on the coast.
<7> it's humid enough here that any bare steel, even if kept inside the garage, will be covered in rust by the next morning...
<5> compounded by the fact that it's salt water
<5> ?
<1> That's terrible.
<7> klb: somewhat... I'm far enough from the coast I don't get much of the salt, mostly just the constant heavy fog.
<7> we get like 200 inches of rain a year around here... heh.
<5> I'd move.
<5> sounds too depressing
<7> heh
<7> I want to go sort the garage today, but it's pouring, as usual.
<7> looking at thw weather radar, there's a big orange and red blob over my house.
<7> it doesn't help that I live on the side of the hill, so the clouds always decide to drop their moisture exactly on my house.
<7> small-size dessicant filters are useless, as they "fill up" within a few MINUTES... enough to get a coat of paint on, but not useful for tools... big regenerating filters are huge amounts of money... so a refridgerated dryer seems like the best choice, but they're expensive too.
<9> hello everyone :)
<7> brb, phone
<10> wew..
<10> free phone?
<11> thanks
<11> bye
<7> back
<7> klb: any luck on the air dryer? :P
<5> oh
<5> I totally forgot about
<7> heh
<7> ok, you can wait to look up cheap tools until after the org^H^H^Hparty.
<5> well... she IS a lesbian...
<1> cancerian: You're going to have to pick a nick and stick with it.
<12> Howdy!
<5> oh hell
<12> :D
<13> Hello Tech :)

<12> long time no presence :p
<12> thiago!
<13> good to see you back.
<12> we'll see how it goes
<14> tekdek!
<14> hiya!
<12> HAI FREND!
<14> hai hai!
<12> what's up?
<12> wow, too many oldschoolers in here
<12> I see the idleness continues though, that ****s
<15> idling is good
<15> makes sure the Internets is working
<15> heh
<0> ..././.........
<12> heh
<8> i dont idle!
<14> actually
<14> I am going to sleep
<12> aww
<12> g'night
<12> oh and simpleguy, I need to ask you something about your appliances sometime, but not today
<12> need to gather some info first
<14> you got the PDF?
<1> fiercestcalm: You were idle for 7 hours today.
<12> nope
<12> send it over
<14> wait
<1> maybe longer
<8> p3nguin, should i continuously talk on irc, and get nothing in the world done, so as to not even idle one ilttle second...
<7> of course you should.
<8> I honestly wish i had nothing in the world to get done.
<16> hello
<12> hi
<16> hello
<16> Techdeck
<16> i have a question
<16> i want to learn linux
<16> what is the best
<5> purple
<12> the best is going to a site that explains distros and their usages and choose for yourself
<12> like http://www.distrowatch.com
<16> ic
<12> can't argue about taste :p
<5> integrated circuits have nothing to do with it
<12> BUT USE DEBIAN!
<12> (kidding)
<12> :p
<15> Jaycee: pick one, or several, play with them in vmware or via a livecd and then decide which one *you* like
<16> debian?
<16> ic
<12> it's my favourite, but like I said, it's a matter of taste
<15> 'best' is a subjective term and will be different for everyone
<16> okie
<16> its downloadable?
<12> what do you think?
<17> until I finally ascend the throne as world dictator and p*** a law that debian is the best, that is
<12> long time no see, php guru
<15> Jaycee: most distros are downloadable, if not all of them
<16> okie
<17> Techdeck: indeed
<16> how about ubuntu?
<16> is ok?
<16> ok wat?
<15> Jaycee: try it for yourself!
<15> make your own decision! be your own master!
<17> Jaycee: its a good distro to start out on.. but it really depends on how you learn
<12> ubuntu is debian based, and it's pretty much the same, except the package maintainers and some cosmetic changes
<16> okie
<16> thanx
<17> some of us learn best when immersed it what seems like an impossible situation that we have to fix our way out of
