<0> simmeh
<1> maybe wireless speeds that compete with fibre speeds. But wireless fibre is an oxymoron.
<0> simmy belive it or not
<0> we sell it :)
<1> wireless with a fibre connection at the access point, maybe.
<0> how much bandwidth can it hold then simmy ?
<0> we have a link up and running at 1.2 gb/s
<1> great! :)
<0> indeed
<1> asking "how much can it hold" is an ambiguous question. Depends on what kind of hardware and fibre you're running. Also depends on what kind of wireless tech you're using.
<0> millimeter technology
<1> For now.... it doesn't matter to me. I'm on my way out the door. Getting to work early today.
<1> *POOF*
<0> ouch
<0> work ?
<2> guys anyone knows about red mercury?

<0> from the toes of a pharoh ?

<8> /root/tmp/cNf20790/cNf20790.pos: line 8: cc: command not found
<8> *** The command 'cc -o conftest -g conftest.c' failed.
<8> *** You must set the environment variable CC to a working compiler.
<8> how to solve this ?
<9> Set the environment variable CC to a working compiler, like it says
<6> Help`Me`God, export CC=gcc
<8> can u tell me the full command ?
<6> # export CC=gcc
<8> done , but still not working
<8> ./configure: line 1200: 23677 Segmentation fault (core dumped) cp ${srcdir}
<6> subnet, what the system do you have?
<3> Linux mail2.psg.tm.fr 2.6.11
<10> top o the mornin to ya laddies
<3> checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... no
<3> configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler cannot create executables.
<3> same problem :=/
<6> huh
<6> execute # uname -a
<6> and cat it here
<3> Linux mail2.psg.tm.fr 2.6.11-6mdk-i586-up-1GB #1 Tue Mar 22 15:46:07 CET 2005 i686 Intel(R) Xeon(TM) CPU 2.80GHz unknown GNU/Linux
<6> Mandrake?
<3> yea !
<6> How long do you use it?
<11> subnet, dell Xeon?
<3> it is rooted :/
<11> rootkit checkers?
<3> no !
<6> Hmmm...
<11> O.o
<6> doesn't sound good.
<11> i walked in half way threw
<11> what exactly is wrong
<6> gcc can't xreate executables, 4ex.
<11> reinstall gcc
<1> is gcc even installed? Common mistake on mandrake systems.
<11> Yeah
<11> find the RPM and install it
<6> Good god.
<11> :P
<6> I use Slackware =)
<11> yeah i used to use mandrake
<3> reinstall ! gosh i just start install it for first time now
<11> then i used whoppi(slax)
<11> now T2-Arch
<11> subnet, not the whole distro
<11> just gcc
<3> <11> find the RPM and install it...done already and still useless
<3> yea i know
<6> And to my wonder gcc 4.2-20060226 succesfully compiled =)

<1> subnet : mandrake doesn't install dev tools by default. You'll want to install the development package. Installing JUST gcc isn't enough. You need gcc, make, and a ****load of libraries.
<11> alot of deps
<11> :/
<3> yea
<6> i think it should be called like... *-devel
<6> thre's lot's of **** w/ this *-devel suffix in RPM distros
<3> lemme check the rpms then
<6> DarkX^, what's T2-Arch?
<11> http://www.t2-project.org/startpage/
<12> try build-essential
<12> i don't know if mandrake have thar pack
<6> Uh.
<1> dunno, either. Trying to get in touch with one of the mandrake support guys I know... but he's probably still sleeping.
<6> DarkX^, sounds nice.
<3> thanks simmy
<11> yeah
<11> it is
<6> But not in my country =)
<11> run it on all my routers and computers
<11> what country are you in
<11> fr?
<6> But,... we've thought about building our own distro just for friends, so it might be good start point instead f slackware
<6> No. Russia
<6> =)
<11> o..awesome
<6> It may be too expensive to download much ****.
<6> Especially here, on the Far East.
<11> too expensive? u pay /mb?
<6> Yeah.
<11> if you want i could donwload the whole trunk onto a HD and send ya it
<11> :x
<6> =)
<6> HD?
<11> or dual layer dvd
<11> or more
<6> +)
<6> Man, shipping is rather expensive, I suppose.

<6> Mostly.
<6> =)
<6> It's like a wonder.
<11> 4 Windows 2003 Servers (Dell Dual Xeon 2.8Ghz each with 2gb RAM + 3 HDs(SCSI RAID5) and a SCSI tape backup
<11> everything is broken
<11> :/ old admin ****ed
<11> lol
<6> Huh.
<6> OpenBSD 3.9 on most of machines here.
<11> nice
<6> Sometimes NetBSD3
<6> Sometimes Linuces.
<11> ima try n convert their systems to Nix
<6> Yeah.
<11> but its regulated by FAPD(Federal BS)
<11> so i might not be able to
<6> What? FAPD?
<6> From where are you, may I ask?
<11> NY
<11> USA
<6> Ah.
<11> i know my IP goes to california

<6> I know that there's lot's of stupid laws in USA.
<11> ill need hell of a lot more then buddha to "secure" a winblows box
<11> lol
<6> =)
<11> might put an OpenWRT box infront of it
