<4> I only saw him ask for the distribution name.

<4> Either way, it's still the kernel version. :)

<6> apt-get install util-vserver then
<8> Red_Cell: the earlier conversation regarding the difference between middle and upper management - usually what will cause someone to excel past tech->lower->middle management is their ability TO speak up correctly, be VERY confident in their own abilities (to the point where others trust you unconditionally), and the willingness to break out of their comfort zone and put their neck on the line when realizing they are working for the good of the co
<8> erm, re:, not Red_Cell
<3> selter: this is debian
<8> I've been in positions other than upper management, ya know. I didn't magically end up where I am. =)
<8> Anyways, I need to scoot. Cheers
<7> simen: yes, if you rmmod a module, and reboot, it will no longer be running
<9> DaTa-MaN: ok. thanks!
<7> simen: Be careful
<9> DaTa-MaN: ok. I know exactly what module it is
<7> simen: Good... happy hunting
<4> The insurance guy just left. Estimate from the adjuster was 842.51. He wrote me a check for 592.51... damn deductibles!!
<4> So now I have to get the thing fixed.
<4> I broke the car! :(
<10> $250 deductible! Lucky bastard!
<10> Or... pocket the almost $600 and live with a broken car. *ducks*

<5> WartecH : http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html read and come with fully described problem and valid question?
<4> You saw the pictures... there's no way I'm not going to get it fixed.
<4> It looks like **** in its broken state.
<7> p3nguin: What happened to your car? How bad is it?
<5> Bye.
<10> so where you're from, the adjuster comes out and decides how bad the damage is? What if he's WRONG? Around us, you take the car to the shop, THEY tell you how much it'll be to fix it. Then the adjuster comes out to look at it while it's at the shop.
<4> Gotta take it on on the 16th at 1PM for repair.
<10> Usually, the check is written directly to the body shop and you just have to pay the remainder (deductible)
<7> p3nguin: just cosmetic?
<4> Well, it's about the same as that here. The adjuster comes and ***esses the damage, writes an estimate, cuts a check, faxes the ***ignment to the body shop. I take it to them, they try to meet the estimate written by the adjuster. If it is wrong, which it is ALWAYS wrong, the shop has to request to be paid the remainder.
<4> simmy: There is method in their madness. It's for the exact reason you mentioned above. If I take the check and pocket it I only get 600$. If I take it to the shop and it costs 1200$ to fix it, then the insurance company gives the shop the second check for the remainder.
<4> They count on the customers to do that, so if they do they don't have to pay out as much.
<10> ah. ok.
<10> Nevermind that the first is probably insurance fraud.
<10> I wonder... if you left it and got hit in that corner again... would you get another check for $600 PLUS the extra damage? :)
<4> When the insurance company's estimate is wrong, which is every time, the body shop is guaranteed to get the remainder directly from the insurance company. No fighting required.
<10> damn... EvilSimmy is speaking again.
<4> It's not fraud because I didn't agree to use that money for repair.
<10> JESUS CHRIST!
<10> EDS can officially **** my ***!
<4> I've hit two deer with my truck, both on the front end, in less than 12 months. Both times I got the check, repaired it myself for about 50% of the check amount.
<4> I had just gotten it repaired from the first time and hit the second one.
<4> This is the first accident I've ever had that was my fault.
<4> (in 11.5 years)
<4> I've had a couple wrecks that were not my fault and one that was not an accident.
<11> i like you babeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee becouse your soooo agly... and so NO ***yyyy
<11> looo
<4> One of my accidents was while I was driving the tow truck at the body shop where I'll be taking this repair.
<12> Back
<12> Hi All :)
<10> OK... so I need a p***word reset on one of my servers (my ****ing boss repeatedly tried to log in on our ID and got it locked out)... If it was a DCX-managed server, It'd be reset, already. But NOOOOo.... EDS manages it. It's gotta go through a process that means it MIGHT be reset in 24 hours!
<10> Furthermore... Now I get to listen to the boss have a meeting RIGHT NEXT TO ME about (no joke) which color red, blue, and green they should use on an internal chart.
<12> hehe
<10> They're actually discussing custom color shading instead of just using one of the preset colors available in excel.
<10> "No... I think it needs a little more red. No... too mcuh... OK... now let's try a little more blue... no.... now some yellow...."
<10> How about you do some ACTUAL WORK?!
<10> /nick EvilSimmy
<11> no
<11> /nick simmyLoL
<11> :P
<12> Evil is better, because Evil never dies.
<11> /nick stfu

<13> anyone can tell me IS THERE ANY WAYY to make my webcam work ?
<13> in ubuntu linux
<14> AgrY Installing?
<12> AgrY!!
<7> p3nguin: NOT... and accident?
<7> *an
<4> data-man: Yeah, someone was being a cock and blocked the road in front of me, so I smashed him.
<7> p3nguin: That's awsome!
<12> hehe
<4> I bet he'll never block the road again.
<7> how do I create this... the rigth way? /dev/snd/seq <--- does not exist.
<10> install the oss sequencer module (or alsa sequencer)
<4> I destroyed his Suzuki Samurai and he went away in an ambulance with a concusion and a broken leg.
<7> p3nguin: how did you NOT goto jail?
<7> simmy: thanks
<10> that's the best I can tell you since it's been SO long since I had to deal with that.
<4> Prior to that, his buddy was following me so I locked up the brakes and he rear-ended me. I threw it in reverse and drove my trailer hitch into his radiator.
<4> Two guys were trying to gang up on me while I was in a bad mood. Not a grand idea.
<7> p3nguin: damn... where do you live?
<4> In Illinois.
<7> p3nguin: I've had to loose a guy or two before... but never got to the point of vehicular combat.
<7> p3nguin: One time I had to give someone a lesson on highspeed turns.
<4> I believe in winning a fight. I believe is using an equalizer if need be.
<10> I've had plenty of close-calls while I"m out on my bike. Had two run-ins. One was no big deal. One was terrifying.
<10> I slid over the top of the car, bike still attached to me, tearing a big ol gouge across the dude's hood.
<4> Don't block the road in front of me and have your buddy stand in the road yelling and shaking his fist while having another buddy try blocking me from the rear.
<4> I was in my old 78 Ford truck. :D
