<6> hello anyone here
<7> just ask brian

<6> I need help getting azureus on line
<6> it's telling me the test isn't working
<6> can you help
<7> i thought you had an SeLinux problem
<7> not azureus
<6> yes i do
<6> isn't selinux a firewall?
<7> yes it is
<6> well i think it is blocking my connection
<6> I configured my router i think
<6> so it must be software
<6> I gotta poop hang on
<8> this is annoying.
<8> I need a decent x server. All the ones I've looked at so far want to use rsh/rexec or telnet
<9> |{evin: what are you trying to do?
<8> display apps running on the linux machines at my windows machine
<9> |{evin: i'd look into nomachine / nx on the linux side. then use nxclient on the windows side. very convienient
<8> I guess what's bugging me is I like "shortcuts", that auto-connect and display back. I've found serveral free servers.. but I have to launch putty and tunnel X, start the app... and I've still got the putty window sitting there looking dumb the whole time
<10> mayb ya need a wm
<9> right. what I just mentioned gets away from all that annoying crap. you set up the server once (slightly annoying at times, but only once), start the client, connect, you're done.
<9> you can also disconnect from the session and resume it later.
<8> oooh now that's handy
<9> natively supports encryption and compression as well, and has a nice caching system. it's the fastest way i've seen to get a gui going. gives you the whole desktop too not just one app. if you can't tell, i like it.
<8> do you have to get the whole desktop?
<9> I think so, but i could be wrong. you could write a custom little script to fire up only the app i suppose
<8> hmm
<8> How is the eval crippled?
<9> it's not, get freenx-server not the official one
<9> gotta run
<11> Can i copy the linux distro in my DVD R/RW and make it as bootable disc ?
<12> sure
<12> dont say how
<12> look at something like the remaserting knoppix guide
<11> Cancel But are you, DVD Disc can be made as bootable, right ?
<12> yes
<11> Thank you.
<8> omgwtf
<8> freenx... cool.

<13> |{evin: it is
<8> and... fast.
<8> wow.
<14> BacKo

<16> I'm trying to find why this isn't working for a client of mine: http://pastebin.ca/44585 any suggestions? Apache's error log shows: "object is not a file, directory or symlink: /dev/null"
<11> can anyone please give me a site, that can guide me thru the dvd bootable disc. how to burn them!
<17> hey

<18> whats the best way to get the time
<19> date
<18> is it doing it with the function system
<18> or use the library time.h
<18> i mean in the C program
<19> the `date' command
<19> oh
<19> I dunno about that.
<19> I'm not a C programmer.
<18> oh
<18> k thanks alot
<18> i will try it on my server right now
<19> If you use bash as your shell you can put things in ~/.bash_login or ~/.bashrc (depending on distro and login type).
<19> err
<19> ~/.bash_profile sorry
<18> thanks dude
<19> ~/.bash_profile or ~/.bashrc
<19> I had something else on my mind and misspoke.
<16> I'm trying to find why this isn't working for a client of mine: http://pastebin.ca/44585 any suggestions? Apache's error log shows: "object is not a file, directory or symlink: /dev/null" = $10 through paypal for a fix... heh
<17> well i didn't try it, but i think it will be too hard to WiMAX to compete with wifi...the new 802.11n standard at 500 Mbps is coming very soon
<18> p3nguin full path as in /home/user/.script or /home/user/script ?
<19> Geek`: The place your script is located.
<19> Geek`: Do you know the difference between script and .script?
<18> yah
<18> im sorry i missed it up
<18> i mean do i need to do the excuting command or not
<19> ...
<19> Putting the fully path IS the executing command.
